I'm going to be getting a Nexus 6P soon, so I found this as it has a type-c connector and a load of stuff I have only works with micro USB. For 80p you can't really go wrong and reviews are positive. If more phones use type-c it will be quite handy to use your current chargers or other accessories. Cheapest one I could fine under £1.

EDIT: This one may draw more power than it should (I'd have to test that once it arrives), making charging your device with this adapter a potential risk to the device. Read the comment by m1kes for more info. It can be fine however (1.5A and not 3A), so it's worth a shot!

its worth checking usb-c adapters and A-C cables, many of the early ones don't comply with the USB-C specification and can potentially damage you charger or other connected device as too much power is drawn.
I don't know if these particular ones are 'good' or 'bad' (and not voted hot or cold) but it would be worth checking them and any cables you get just to be sure.
hopefully in time all the suppliers will get it right and make compliant cables!
I bought some adapters from ebay, the first ones were not compliant :disappointed: then other from a different supplier were fine  same with cables too......

I was just about to post the same thing. For a~£500 device, I'd spend the extra on a Google Engineer approved cable.

So because its 80p you are happy to risk damaging your phone and/or burning your house down?!?
WOW!

Good to know. It's always hit or miss with these cheap chinese adapters, but for 80p i'm guessing it's worth a shot to see if it's 1.5A. I'm going to be using mine mainly for accessing an SD card which has app backups from TitaniumBackup, if I want to flash another ROM so it should be fine. I'll be sure to check the current though if I ever want to use a charger with that, thanks for that!

Made the mistake of buying a couple that look suspiciously similar to these and they didn't even fit the type C socket without feeling like they were going to damage it. Not worth buying without reliable feedback.
It seems legit. GearBest gives discounts if you do a review and post a picture regardless of what you rate it out of 5.

Note that this most likely doesn't support USB OTG. I recently bought a similar one off Amazon to use with a USB OTG device, however it didn't work. I ended up having to purchase a separate cable.

At what price point is it not worth the risk?!

I phrased that wrong. What I meant is "worth a go to see if it's 1.5A". I will check according to the post made by m1kes (I think it's the second link) and if it's 1.5 A I'm in luck. I will only be using this to read SD cards though (which is the third time I wrote this), which won't burn my house down :disappointed: use some common sense people!
Using an adapter of any kind or extender is usually a bad idea with a charger anyway, so I wouldn't advise to use reguraly it EVEN IF it's 1.5A, unless it's a very good quality adapter/extender.
