£7.99 at Boots http://www.boots.com/en/Max-Factor-2000-Calorie-Mascara_5887/ £4.99 online at Allbeauty, etc.
My FAVOURITE mascara and I paid more than this 20 odd years ago!
Bought this from Argyle Street, Glasgow, earlier.
Picture and receipt in Post #1.
One review on Makeupalley from CoonieR:
"What's so special about this? It doesn't clump. It gives a lot of volume with one coat, and lasts all day. It doesn't smell, doesn't smear, and the brush is just right. It doesn't give the false eyelash look, but more of a "my lashes but better" look. The black isn't too harsh or too pale.
I wish P&G would consider bringing this back to the US market. I do stockpile these when I travel internationally, because it's worth it to me. This is worthy of the cult-like following it has developed."
I can see grumbles on Makeupalley from members - apparently Max Factor pulled out the US market recently (!) and they wish 2000 Calorie mascara would come back :disappointed:

Here's some other things I got (I also contribute to the MSE Poundland and Poundworld threads as I have a few within walking distance)
Fry's Chocolate Cream 3 x 49g (comes and goes from Poundland, buy them for mum!), Lily 3D Holographic Ruler (various boys/girls names available, think these are only in bigger stores), Revlon Luxurious Color Eyeliner 507 Sparkling Silver with built-in smudger 12g.

The Revlon eyeliner is a good buy too. Did you notice if they had other colours?

Only saw Silver but I must admit I didn't look that hard! They also have Maybelline eyeliner pencils too, only saw a bright blue shade.

Whoa!! This is the one I wear. My one has dried out. Was thinking of buying 3for 2 and get a free bag from Superdrug. Not sure if the offer is still available.
Thanx. Heat added

From what I'm aware Max Factor isn't in the states. The products do look remarkably like Cover Girl ones though...

Max Factor 2000 Calorie was sold in the US till very recently, there's a few discussions on Makeupalley.
Got a few 2000 Calorie mascaras from Trongate yesterday. Curiously I saw in Poundworld that they have Max Factor items, in the very same "Branded Cosmetics" packaging. Didn't see the mascara, only lipglosses and eyeshadows, but might be worth a rummage if you're eager to get your hands on some.

Some have tried alternative Cover Girl products (also owned by Procter & Gamble) but haven't found a suitable mascara. http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=973/2000-Calorie-Mascara-/Max-Factor/Mascara (see reviews).
Only seen them in Black/Brown shade, so far.
