I know it can be a wild goose chase but try Tesco if you have one close by. I have seen a few good reductions on blue ray Players in my local.
oh and if your local has the self scanners it's worth scanning a few bar codes as lots of shelf prices don't match!

No stock in Hull, Bridlington, Scarborough, Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Doncaster, Barnsley, Rotherham, Wakefield, York or Selby. Got bored looking now.
Don't bother looking in East Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire or North East Lincs because there are none available.

I still voted hot though because it is available online. I just ordered one and I have never ordered from Argos before for delivery and I got my delivery free. How cool is that. Or hot even. Thanks for posting.
Mine arrived today. It is basic lol but then its only for the bedroom to replace my noisy Samsung pebble which looked lovely in its gloss black plastic unlike the LG's tinny, yes it is made of metal, dull outer case. Weighs about as much as a bag of haribos. In fact I think the packaging weighs more than the player. The remote is quite small and only takes one battery. It looks like a toy remote. Ok so that's how it looks and I think I would have been quite disappointed if I had paid more as it just looks cheap. Well it was lol but the most important things about the player are spot on:
It is quiet
It loads dvd's nice and quick, not tried bluray yet but one review on amazon said 15 seconds which is fine with me
It plays dvd's very well. Fast forward, pause etc. All good
Sound is a little lower when playing dvd compared to tv.
Only thing that doesn't work....Simplink. I have an LG tv set up for Simplink but for some reason when you switch the player on it doesn't turn the input over automatically. A bit annoying really as this was the main reason I went for the LG and not the slightly more expensive Samsung. Our Samsung Pebble did turn the tv's input over automatically so will miss this feature but for £33.99 I don't suppose I can complain.......too much.
