Soon as I finish up at the gym this is going straight in my basket - thanks for the find!

Good monitor and good price.
Personally I'm holding on for a 34" curved model.
Worth noting for anyone going for one of these that despite being 29" it actually gives roughly the same square inch real estate as a 27" monitor but as it's 2560x1080 rather than 2560x1440 you will have less Windows desktop space. Now for gaming and appropriate aspect video that's a good thing, but if you want the width for productivity reasons there are less pixels in total available than a normal 2560x1440 27" monitor.
Still a great monitor, but this size and aspect is best suited for games and videos in this aspect. 16:9 videos will appear about the same size as on a normal 24" monitor and the Windows desktop won't have as much real estate as a normal 27" monitor would have.

Great monitor, own one myself. Freesync hack available to give a better Freesync range.

Would mainly be using this for PC gaming, but would want to use it for PS4 as well. How would it handle a normal 1080p source?

Black borders or stretched.

Yep, it's not so bad with the black borders, pity we can't make the most of the resolution!

Of course with the black borders you only really have a display size of a 24" monitor.
The PS4 doesn't even do 1920x1080 in most games, it's typically something like 1600x900 upscaled anyway. It wouldn't be a much bigger demand to upscale to 2560x1080.
There isn't any reason why Sony and games developers can't offer 21:9 aspect ratio in games, it's just a matter of demand I guess. If the format becomes popular enough you can expect to see it be introduced in the future.
Playing a Bluray is an interesting point though. Will the PS4 stretch them vertically to a 16:9 aspect which the monitor could then re-stretch horizontally to 21:9?

Yep. one of the excuses/reasons i saw regarding the whole 21:9 console argument was "Unfair advantage due to wider viewing" Which is a silly excuse :/

I wish I had bought a 290 instead of a 970... gsync is so god damn expensive. Might go red next upgrade...
