Been amused at "had ONE and it's fine" and even "don't handle too much" !!!! :confused:
Well you aren't supposed to handle them like an unexploded bomb but going by my own and others experiences..... Maybe you ARE

I've had the lower capacity one of these and the build quality is horrible. Genuinely avoid these imho, no matter how attractive it might seem right now. It's useless having a 128GB USB stick if you can't even get your PC to read it. Sorry OP, but voting cold - avoid.

Build quality on these is very poor - the UBS plug is retractable for protection but the flimsy catch that keeps the connector locked in place isn't strong enough and the plug just goes inside the case as you try to plug it in. You have to hold it in place with a finger or thumb as you plug it in.

Can't fault the speed though - very fast write and read speeds and had the stick for several months using it most days with no reliability problems. Having said that, my Lexar 128GB micro SD card has just failed on me after 6 months - the card has switched to read only mode, can't write to it, can't format it but can still read the contents. Luckily Amazon sent me a replacement.

Those JumpDrives with the metal connectors are the good ones. Not this model.

I have this exact model. Quite flimsy on the build quality and wouldn't recommend for those who will frequently pull this in and out between devices. If you're using this to keep attached to a device on a more permanent basis, this USB stick is great. The read/write speeds are pretty decent and usually faster than the average USB flash drives you see advertised with USB 3.0.

They were questioning the reliability of Lexar's USB sticks. And they're right to, because they're cr*p. No offence but SD cards are irrelevant.

Build quality is not good as mentioned elsewhere. Also, the sliding mechanism sometimes misses meaning the stick moves back into its cover when pushed into the USB port.

Voted hot purely due to the price, but is there any consensus on which USB sticks we SHOULD be looking at? I ask because whenever I see a USB stick deal, there are always comments saying they're slow, bad quality, etc. and this is even for the likes of SanDisk sticks getting 4.5 stars on Amazon.

I have a 64gb micro sd in my mobile by Lexar (13months) and it has had no problem with it.

Avoid this stick, Lexar make good sticks but this isn't one of them. Its lighting fast when it works but VERY unreliable

There a re lot of fakes out there, and not all are being sold as "too cheap to be true"; I have a fake 32GB Samsung that was sold at full price, but only had 7GB of usable space and died as soon as more than 7GB was written to it.

Always test with h2wtest.exe (a free program), before posting bad reviews of a product, what you have may be a fake, sold innocently or not.

has anyone actually tested the write speeds as I recently bought a 128gb Kingston DataTraveler SE9 G2 drive and it was terrible for write speed

If it's plastic like it looks like they're trying to represent then this is a broken usb stick waiting to happen.
