I came across this one when browsing the Tesco toy sale and thought it was a great buy, it seems to be around £65 to £80 at most retailers so nearly half price, it was marked up on the standard white tag so should be in most of the bigger stores.

gutted :disappointed: that's a steal! got it on argos 3 4 2 b4 Xmas so can't complain to much. it is an awesome set. if I had the cash ild get it & put it away for a few years.

I bought my 9 year old this set for Christmas. He absolutely loves it. Between the main vessel, the sunken wreck, the mini vehicles, sharks and minifigures, there's a lot of set here for £40. I paid £10 more and it was still a great deal.

I read somewhere the other day that said that Lego sets from the 80's had appreciated more in price than gold, so yeah they can become quite valuable
