I agree the RRP is ridiculous but I think £7.49 is pretty good for 8 items plus a nice Christmas box. the coffee sounds lush.
I think it is the kind of thing that would be nice to buy to cheer yourself up at this time of year... some little treaty items, just to make the winter days a bit more special

You could most likely purchase all the items for ~ 75p to a £1. Then silly companies (John Lewis now here) stick stupid RRP's on them, sell a few to some dopey people and then slash to almost what price they should be in the first place

I certainly agree to some extent. I would have never paid more than than £7.49, and this is why I didnt list it when it was first reduced, but as it is now I think it is a nice little item.
I think the BHS hampers are a very good example of what your saying though, they have loads left at present, I think most are half price or less at the moment but there is no way they are worth those prices. I think if they want to shift them they will have to take them down to 75/80%off.

ALL these so called "hampers" are a TOTAL RIP OFF and yet mugs buy them all the time just to look good.

I can understand why some buy these as presents... cause it's quick...and all done for you... so no hassle
I make my own... it looks good and a lot cheaper and I put battery op fairy lights on them...a nice tacky touch

Sounds a nice touch to be honest. I intended to make up a hamper this last year, with a selection of luxury food items, but i have limited access to the shops so I ended up buying a hamper online. I have to say i was pleasantly surprised and it was also well received so all was good. I admit it was probably a little overpriced but it was so quick and easy and it was a present that i knew would be used too.

Heat OP. I think I looks good for £7.99. A nice treat.
I make up my own hampers but this looks good value.

you could keep your eye on the bhs hampers, most are reduced by 50% or more already, but I think they are still a bit overpriced right now...but they may drop again in the next week, so it might be worth keeping an eye on them.
