My son was diagnosed with leukaemia. We are always wondering why he had it, how it happened. There are so many theories out there on what causes childhood cancer that we will never know. However, anything that hints to a possible cause stay away from. You always think it happens to someone else but it happened to us and was the worse 3 years of our life. No parent should have to go through it. I used johnsons with him and my other kids, may just be another possible, but steer clear!

very interesting read, and very concerning. have a 3 week old and was bought one of these for xmas. I've inspected the packaging on the baby shampoo but it doesn't list quarternium as an ingredient, is this ingredient name we should be looking for? is such a good set so will be disappointed but will definitely not use the products that contain it.

Taken from the Johnsons Baby website: What about other preservatives, such as parabens?
Parabens are naturally occurring preservatives that can be found in fruits and vegetables. There are many different types of parabens, and they are among the most widely used preservatives in personal care products, having been used for more than fifty years with an excellent safety record.
The products in the JOHNSON’S® Baby range in the UK do not contain parabens, with the exception of Nappy Cream which is being reformulated and will be paraben free by mid-2014. On a global basis we have made a commitment to remove parabens from our baby products by the end of 2015.

Freezing. Water wipes for me and some calendula nappy cream, which we've never had to use. Do babies really still get nappy rash in this day and age?

To be honest babies dont need anything but warm water to clean. You can use reusable cloths (cheeky wipes) or water wipes. My baby never had nappy rash, no dry skin and his hair is gorgeous.
Good price for this set though! I was a Johnsons baby and i turned out fine lol!!

I'm expecting my first. At what age do you start using anything more than warm water and water wipes on baby please? Thanks x
