Would love to praise this because it's a great price but I've had no end of problems with this machine. I won't vote cold tho!
The scanning and features are excellent. The printing is where it started to go wrong for me. A full set of inks was £200, yet after two sets of blacks (returned one), I was still getting streaks. The colours that came with the device (never expecting them to be that full) ran dry after barely any use and it wouldn't print without replacement. It was out of warranty and couldn't get it resolved.
Ink cycling to try and clear the streaks resulted in more problems and wasted a quarter of a cartridge.
As I say would love to praise it but I've switched to a Canon now (actually posted my deal last week). Hopefully I was just very unlucky!

And this people is why you should be buying a laser printer instead!

Bought this printer on a similar offer about 18 months ago for a office printer. It's a fantastic printer quick to print and cheap to run! HOT
I agree would never buy a HP printer again. Got 2 of these 1 already dead.

I thought it is a laser printer, than read this "Performs like a laser".
I do not like inkjet, ink costly, dry up quickly, and nozzle block.
For this price, you can actually buy laser printer. You will not regret choose laser over inkjet.
Not to mention, this inkjet cartridges are expensive, they dry up quick just by themseleves if not used frequently. Waste of money and high running cost.

The ink cartridges that come with it are "install only", with far less ink in them that the refill ones. The refill ones last about a year for us, where as the install ones last about a month.

This is a usage report for a 2 year old Officejet, unless you use everyday forget it. Something is fishy with the way it self cleans every 2 minutes
I completely agree with you from my own experience.
If the inkjet printer is not used very often, the ink just dry out by itself. Cartridges need to be replaced quite often.
Consider how expensive its cartridges are, the running cost is ridiculously high. And printer nozzle could blocked, if ink dry out.
Buy a laser printer, cartridges last you a lot longer. Use when you need to and will not have the nozzle problem.

We have this in the office as HP gave us one for free. Before I would have stayed well clear of Officejets as the number of issues people seemed to have with them was ridiculous. This ones been different and performed without any issues for around a year now so only have praise for it.
Like loquerion mentioned the initial cartridges you get with these are only starter ones so will not last anywhere near as long as new ones.

Bought this for office use on a similar deal 6 months ago to replace a laser office jet. Prints really well and at this price is well worth it. The starter cartridges still do approx 3000 prints and if you buy the full cartridge the yield is 9000.for a 9000 yield cartridge the price per print is still competitive compared to other printers. Not had 1 issue yet with this printer touch wood.
