Will this qualify for any cashback / trade in HP offers ?

This is going to be a terrible laptop. The screen resolution is substandard, the CPU is meant for a tablet, and a mechanical HD in a laptop is just painfully slow. Too expensive for that it is, and you can do much better with a refurbished.

The cpu it's really designed for ultrabooks, not tablets

Disagree.
i5 5200U is a standard laptop CPU, not tablet. Laptops with i5 nowadays, most of them are using i5 5200U.
Some people do not like U version because their performance is weaker. But the latest i5 M version laptop CPU is 4th generation, which is not much more powerful than i5 5200U. U version i5 is more than powerful for normal usage. Bottle neck is HDD, swap for a SSD. U version is much more power efficient and less heat, it is the way to go.
If anyone thinks he will use a laptop for processor intensive tasks, need to consider i7 non-U version. For normal usage, i5/i3 U version are completely fine, and will be quick if put in a SSD.

Medion is a low market brand.
But HP's business laptops are actually good.
So do not dismiss HP completely.
This deal is for HP 350 which is not a HP business laptop. But you can buy HP Probook at cheaper with same specs, link in thread 7.

I agree with almost everything huangxq2 says. Go for the slightly more expensive model which is still very cheap for a half decent laptop. The access panels on the bottom are very handy and not always present on budget machines. I would then purchase an extra 4GB of Corsair DDR3 sodimm and a 250 GB Samsung EVO SSD which will still leave the total price at less than £400. Install a fresh copy of Windows with no bloatware and you're good to go.
Why do people write nonsense like that of Mr Puddington above? Comparing a new laptop spec with a refurb?! People want to compare like for like so please show me a decent new laptop with an SSD for this price. The simple answer is you can't.

Can anyone recommend a SSD for Probook 450 G2?

It all depends what you want from the SSD. Firstly you need to decide on the size. What are you going to be doing with it and how important a factor is cost? Obviously people want to spend less money if possible but you're going to encounter problems with anything less than 120GB. If you want to store a lot of data on the drive you might need to look higher still. Personally I'd opt for 240GB. That way you get enough space for Windows plus updates, programs and have plenty to spare for music, pictures and the like. If you need more space than that you can always purchase an external drive to store movies etc.
Ebuyer have the Samsung Evo 250GB 2.5" SSD at £65.99 including free postage which is an okay deal. You might find it cheaper elsewhere. http://www.ebuyer.com/695890-samsung-850-evo-250gb-2-5inch-ssd-mz-75e250bw These drives are very solid, quick and come with a 5 year warranty. You will get another SSD like a Sandisk for maybe £20.00 cheaper but the performance and reliability won't be as good. Neither will the warranty. You could go to town and get the Samsung pro version but that's probably overkill. Hope this helps.
