I've had this for a couple of months and its fantastic. It isn't noisy, fast washes are great, and you could fit a small child inside it.

The price for this is good, but a word of caution. I've had 2 hotpoint machines now & each one has put holes in clothes. Tee shirts with small holes appearing in them for no apparent reason. I wouldn't have this brand of washer again.

Hotpoint - no thanks (see reviews on Which?, etc.).

Shocking price for one of the very worst brands in Europe

We've got the previous version of this. A wash a day for six years and still going strong. The timer delay stopped working after about 3 years, probably due to this being in an unheated utility room outside from the main house. My view is it's an excellent machine, even with the time delay function failure.

We got a Samsung Ecobubble now. Had it 2 years, no holes in anything.

Have had two hotpoint washing machines in last 4 years one being replacement after first one broke after 13 months. Can honestly say will never ever buy another hotpoint.Cannot wait for the one I have to stop working it leaves my clothes in shreds and the smell unless you do an empty 90degree wash once a week is horrific.Have complained to hotpoint who sent out an engineer who said its because I live in a hard water area.I have lived in house for 28 years and this problem never happened with any other make of washer, also have a hotpoint dishwasher that sits besides washer and no smell comes from that.Engineer just repeated "you live in a hard water area"

no smell, no holes from mine. Are you sure you haven't got a family of well washed rats nesting in your drum?

Got one of these today. Have an older model of this that lasted about 8 years but the bearings have gone. At this price it only needs to last 4-5 years and it's an absolute bargain.

Did you have to put an empty 90c wash on once a week like I do?If not you're so lucky I can't even open my machine without gagging that's how bad the smell is.Would be OK if it was an old machine but this one is only 3 years old.The one that broke was the same even the fellow that removed machine commented on smell.I can't wash more than 2 shirts at a time as you'd think moths had been nesting in shirts for years when you remove them from machine holes everywhere .You're so lucky hope new machine works as well as last one for you.

Would like to think one of the many Hotpoint engineers i've had visiting would have been able to find a family of rats in the drum lol
