The calcium and other minerals patch any holes in the enamel, once hardened it's an enamel-like substance that lasts/wears in the very much the same way as enamel would. So yes, you're right in that you can't replace lost enamel with new enamel, but this slowly repairs any gaps with something similar. Think of it as a puncture repair kit, you're not replacing the hole in the inner tube with like-for-like, but the liquid rubber-glue and patch still stop the air from getting out.

Sounds like misadvertising as you cant repair enamel.Once it's gone it's gone.

That's not true, check out Novamin which I believe is in some Sensodyne toothpaste. Has research to backup remineralising teeth.

Thankyou for the heat .. It is good quality stuff , and i know you cant fix enamel but it helps protect it and takes the sensitivity away :smile:

Enamel is white and the bone iunderneath is yellow, once you lose your tooth enamel you will no londer have white teeth.

Thanks to the OP for posting this some people like it. I think it tastes awful and some of the other "Sensitive" toothpastes cost a fortune. Morrison's do their own brand Sensitive 12 Hour action 100ml tube for about a quid, I have been using it for a few years just as good as Sensodyne.
