Great price for this. Basic but good enough for not too intense training.

Make sure it's compatible with Zwift. You don't want to get into it and then want to upgrade a few months later because you've discovered something new that you want to get into and your hardware isn't up to the job.

Its an excellent trainer for £50. I guess a lot of people who use zwift will also have a garmin so a speed and cadence sensor should get it compatable with zwift

I've trained my victim on this and they lost 15kg over a few months, 20 mins, 3x a week ideal when it's raining.
Don't forget to buy a turbo training tyre as your standard tyre will melt and gloop over the runner.

Can anyone advise please; the chap in the shop said that it will not work with 26 inch wheels as they are too small (designed for 28/29 he said). I have seen the reviews, and there are a lot from women there and i don't believe that they can all be 6ft 3in tall.

As long as I've known Elite Trainers have always worked with 26 inch wheels and 650c too, which is basically 26" road wheel with a small diameter popular amongst Triathlon riders and small people.
Tacr trainers (I forget how that's spelt)/trainers I think had an issue with 26"
The question is also asked about four questions down.

It will. I got one yesterday and there are two sets of bolts to set it up for 26 or 28 inch wheels.
I am using a 700cc tyre and no problems

Many thanks- could have saved myself £5 on Christmas eve! Obviously I was talking to one of their cycling experts..... (this was a cycles only Halfords, so I had expected that they might have known what they were talking about!).
I hadn't seen the Q&A, so thanks for that.

Many thanks to all; I bought this and a front wheel stand via ebay to use up some Paypal refunds. Also found some 26x2.1 Continental "Town&Country" tyres to replace the studded ones (which were for riding along the river, but it doesn't happen much now) for £13 each which I hope will be better for this.

Got one yesterday and had a very quick test run. Looks good , very solid peice of kit and well worth £50 .There is one locking bracket that feels a bit flimsy and the tension changer on the handlebars feels like over time it could break but for £50 it feels like a cracking peice of kit .

Thanks- mine also arrived yesterday, though it is still in its box (work to finish, unfortunately). New tyres also arrived this morning so I'll be putting them on first. Never thought that having short legs would be so problematic (6ft by the way!).

One tip .Don't test it out with jeans on. With the bike being an extra few inches off the ground the extra stretch resulted in ripped jeans!
So great product but it has now cost me £40 for a new pair of jeans as well as the cost of the trainer and new tyre and riser and heart rate monitor to train with!
