I had one, but sent it back after the Black Friday deal. It wasn't even close to the advertised 22400mAh. It could charge just a little bit more than my wife's Anker 13000mAh, which is ridiculous. We had a replacement, which was the same.
Check the 1 star reviews on Amazon. Pretty much full of people with the same experiences. Sadly most people won't know the output is a lot lower than expected, as long as it works. Sure, it'll charge your device a few times, but the output they claim just isn't true.

I do wonder how many people have returned these saying it doesn't supply the correct current and haven't thought about the crappy cheapo micro usb cable they are using. Most common cables can only handle about 1A or even less, so charging will take longer than you think. Buy a decent high current cable and voila, fast charging. I have V1 of this ECT battery and it has been great. I get roughly 8 full LG G4 charges out of it. I use the mobile in the car as a sat nav and if the cable cannot supply more than 2A then even plugged into the car with a 2.4A adaptor it will run it flat in a few hours. Change the cable for a quality one and it will run Waze with display on and even charge it. I have done this as a passenger in a friends car with my ECT battery pack and runs phone with Waze running and still charges the phone.
Also all new battery packs take a few charge/discharges to obtain maximum capacity. No good charging it once and the saying it only charged my phone 2 times.
Bottom line is, get a decent fast charge usb cable and it will be fine.

Unfortunately this is typical marketing BS. The battery probably is 22400mha so they are not lying but that's on a cell of 3.7v (that's what it says on the label). This needs to be jumped up to 5v in a process which at best is 80% efficient or there is 20% loss or greater, this happens in all these devices. Then you have the charging circuit in the device you are charging, this will have losses too. Also the battery receiving the charge will warm up, that is further lost energy. Just to cap it off the 22400mha is based on being able to discharge the battery 100%, however doing so reduces the life of the battery so it may have a low volt cut off to protect the battery from being completely flattened. In reality with any of these portable 5v supplies you are lucky if about 60% of the power actually gets into the battery being charged with rest lost to inefficiencies.

To be honest, I've not counted exactly - I've seen somewhere that's what was claimed and I've gone ages without recharging it but I don't let my phone drain down fully that often so can't be exact! It does seem to last ages without needing to be recharged though.

KING means does it give out high enough voltage/current to quick charge. Answer is, no. Need I think it's 9V at 1.67A for fast charge. This won't support quick charge 2.0. My Aukey however does, search amazon for quick charge 2.0 and you should get some. A lot of companies use words like "Fast Charging" etc. but not Quickcharge 2.0
Seems a decent deal for the fast charge compatabile. Theres a 10400 one for a couple of extra quid

Heat added.. Mines been great too, paid £20 a year ago. I rarely do 0-100% but I've done 5%-80 ish, 3/4 times and been surprised there's just less than half left. Never measured it but I'm sure mines getting 2amps from the middle socket, everyone else knows this is the only one with 2a, right?
Simply this device lets me go abroad for a week without a charger (sony z5c) and still be confident about using satnav etc.
I do think you have to look after them a bit, keep it fully charged when not in use, don't use a full cycle unless you have to etc, not sure if the tech backs that up but it's certainly working for me.

That's pretty good.
I opened my last one and it had the same cells, but I didn't do measurements like he did.
What's really interesting here is that there clearly seems to be some differences in what people are getting. There are too many people on Amazon that have seen a poor amount of charge from it, myself included. But there are people like this that clearly have evidence to show they have a good product.
I wonder if it's because of the no-name cells that it uses? Could easily be quality issues that people are seeing. That or they have cut corners since he posted his video in 2014, or have multiple suppliers...?
Thanks for posting.

The 18,600mAh will be at 3.7V so at 5V this will equate to around 13,000mAh

14 Jan 161#66
The quoted 22400mAh is at the internal battery voltage of 3.7V so will be less at 5V...the capacity of this pack is 82Wh so at 5V the capacity will be 16400mAh assuming 100% efficiency of the DC-DC converter (which they aren't)

22,400mah lol. No chance. Not for that sort of money. The Chinese love to lie about battery capacities. Generally they're 2/3rds of what they really are. You are better off buying an enclosure and installing your own batteries, Panasonics are spot on for this type of thing and really are the capacity they claim to be. 6 x 3,100mah Pannys would give you 18,600 mah. Very few reviews have technical details. Many of the 1 star reviews have checked the capacity and have found that it doesn't match what expected.
Check the 1 star reviews on Amazon. Pretty much full of people with the same experiences. Sadly most people won't know the output is a lot lower than expected, as long as it works. Sure, it'll charge your device a few times, but the output they claim just isn't true.

Best to keep in your hand luggage and put it through the scanner separately, just in case they do get curious.
You must take it as hand luggage or in the pocket of your jacket though as Li-ion batteries can't go in your hold luggage.
I'm from the West Midlands, many people use the word 'Mom' here.
Mom = American.
I'm confused - lol - mom y'know mother, parent? I'm from Stourbridge so not a million miles from Lichfield but thought mom was a universal thing?
Seems a decent deal for the fast charge compatabile. Theres a 10400 one for a couple of extra quid
Got one for chrimbo really pleased with it.
Pros:
- Can charge mobiles and tables several times before needing to recharge
- Has a torch
Cons
- Big and heavy (but after all it's 22k mAh!).
I would have preferred to get something with 1/4 of the charge and a 1/4 of the size.
As others have said, this thing is heavy but it is very useful, I leave it to charve overnight and it charges up my phone really quickly. I last charged it 5 days ago and has charged my phone from ~10% to 100% in about an hour 5 times.
Great price, product.
Heat!!!
I paid nearly £30 for mine and it is brilliant. I have charged a Lumia 930 from flat to full 4 times and still had plenty charge left. It charged just as quick as if it was plugged into the mains.
I am normally very sceptical myself..

I have a battery fetish it appears!
Also all new battery packs take a few charge/discharges to obtain maximum capacity. No good charging it once and the saying it only charged my phone 2 times.
Bottom line is, get a decent fast charge usb cable and it will be fine.

I use this cheap BangGood USB detector to confirm the current drawn by my devices - shows up both cheap cables and chargers for what they are!

Also, it won't fast support samsung fast charge no matter what cable due to voltage limitations.
Resisting buying another its such a good deal.
Just getting the slightly smaller Anker equivalent to try out as a replacement... however had I known the price of this was going to drop so low I'd have grabbed this instead!
my phone is currently plugged into my one and its no longer and only slightly thicker than my phone ok its heavier than the phone but at 600 grammes it only a bit heavier than a 500ml bottle of pop.
Bought two more for my kids
