It's annoying isn't it (do you mean shield tv?) but if you download the Amazon App Store you can download stuff that supposedly is incompatible and it works fine. (Including the joypad)

If you mean the Amazon app store, yes it runs fine although you do really need a mouse to scroll and click on stuff.
The easiest way to get stuff is to install ES File explorer and use the basic browser in there to download a better browser APK.
I really like Opera as it has an on screen back button (as my mouse doesn't have a built in back button).
Then you can just use the browser to download apk's without having to use a PC.

Managed to install the game.
However controller doesn't work.which makes playing the game pointless really.

Hello Tequila, have you got a mouse plugged in?
I forgot to say when I had the mouse plugged in in one USB it stopped the controller working on some games, when I changed it to the other port everything has worked fine.
