Popped into my local Sainsbury's and saw all the Christmas cakes being reduced to 70% off!

I walked past them all. Didn't even eat last years Sainsbury's bargains.

Great deal. Just add some brandy, leave to stand a few weeks and then freeze them. They will be deliscious next year. These will also abviously do for birthday cakes. In fact if they have big posh ones you could buy a few for a wedding cake!
I got my christmas puds from sainsburys a few years back when they were 90% off. The use buy date was 15 months after, so they kept for the next year!

There was a great range of puds in my local - buy and stock up for next year - or mid-winter treats.

These are nice - not like Christmas cake, but more like a fruit cake with quite a sweet sauce, I also added brandy sauce.

The one in op's pic is delicious. Defo worth a few quid.
