pennyfarthing88, "Our Stores do not stock this product"
Ah! In which case I take back everything that I have said about my local store. I admit to having missed that all important qualification. Having said that I was rather misled by B&Q also telling me that all my nearest stores had them in stock. They clearly had, but only for online purchase via click and collect it would seem.
Thanks for clarifying that OP, and thanks for the deal!

I went for this, and the £20 Stanley Mobile Work Center (sic!) in order to use £5 off a £25 spend voucher (that expired today) at B&Q yesterday (hoping to get a further 10% Diamond Card discount ;-). Although showing online as being in stock in all 5 stores nearest to me, I was told that this item was not available at the store (it certainly wasn't out on the shelves), could not be ordered in, and was discontinued. I went home and ordered the two items online without problem (still with £5 off) for collection today from the same store.
Sure enough, both were there for me at midday (the earliest collection time). I suspect that such discounted items are often not displayed in order that more expensive sales are not hampered. So thank you OP for alerting me to a deal that was stocked in my local store, but nowhere to be seen, nor acknowledged by staff!

Ordered C&C. At this price you cannot go wrong. In fact I'd say if you are getting into DIY, perhaps getting 2 sets would not be a bad idea...... somebody joked earlier about "screwdrivers"......well they make lousy screwdrivers, but abuse-wise they really are excellent for hammering/scraping out old mortar etc. Just make sure you keep some for their correct purpose !!

these look identical (even down to the blowmoulded case) to the ones I got from Screwfix ~8 years ago or so (probably before Screwfix were bought by Kingfisher Group even). I've fitted numerous doors and other small jobs in that time and they have held up well. A little soft so require more sharpening than more expensive versions, but well worth getting a set at this price for any budding DIY-er to play with.

Ordered with some LED bulbs I needed to get just over £25 threshold and got the £5 off too.
So I'm viewing it as a chisel set for £1.99 :sunglasses:
Your right I clicked your link and it just takes me back to this deal page!

You can't stick it back on if you mess up a door hanging.
See if you are able to take one of the old ones, turn it and hang it. You'll get an idea of the difficulty.
These chisels will be fine for softwood doors.

do you live in an old house? 60 plus years? if so employ a chipy to hang them, fitting new doors to old frames can become a nightmare :disappointed:

why can't you pay by paypal or in-store? What large physical retail websites still want your credit card details? Deal is hot but I can't be bothered to deal with B&Q

providing you use them correctly they should be fine. with a plastic handle I would avoid using a claw hammer so find a wooden or plastic mallet. aside from that take your time and take small amounts off and you will be fine. good luck

Well, a router makes that job a lot quicker. Although I've added heat to this find, my personal view with tools is to always buy the best, once, rather than cheap, often. So I rarely have to buy any...
