The clue is in .com of the sites you've checked.
Yankee version = lower spec.

Just checked my BLU, it certainly does have 8GB memory, not sure if i can check RAM from the phone

There are two versions of this handset, US and EU.

As said above, 512 Mb versions are not the ones for sale here. Amazon are selling updated 1gb/8gb versions. Also confirmed if you read through the questions.
