Will this help with chicken pox marks? My sister is self-conscious about the marks left from when she had chicken pox recently.
If this will help, I'll definitely buy it for her

There is no evidence this product can give the potential results it claims. It doesn't contain any specific or active ingredients that are known for the properties claimed and that aren't found in other moisturisers.
In short, it's a very well marketed moisturising cream that's probably just as effective as any typical moisturiser but a lot more expensive.

Oh okay. Do you have any suggestions on what I could get for her?

Just your fave/usual brand or any moisturiser like E45, Nivea, simple, boots' own brand etc will do. Whichever you choose will be at least half the price of bio oil.
The simple act of massaging the skin is thought to help and a moisturiser prevents the scars from drying out whilst keeping the skin supple. Scars are funny and there's only so much you can do. They just take time.
She could also see a GP who may discuss other options and even refer her to a specialist as explained on the NHS website.

Thank you for that, great advice. She's only 10 but her chickenpox is quite severe at the moment and she's self-conscious about any scarring that might be left over.

Hot if you like Bio-Oil.
Oh, and chickenpox should be left well alone if still active. Worrying about it now is premature. Giving your sister a pamphlet about laser treatment will just frighten.

I like Bio-Oil. I have a very slight scar from a fall when I was a child. It didn't bother me much but I now can't see it at all. A lot of people also swear by Rosehip Hibiscus oil as a remedy for scars.

Ah sorry didn't realise she still had chicken pox. In that case yes as Saint_abroad already said, best thing you can do at the moment is leave it alone to help prevent scarring.

Very true, but my wife has used it for years and three pregnancies later she hasn't got any stretch marks.
