Far from the best I know, but fine for my basic needs and maybe of help to someone...found at Sainsbury's Rhyl but told national, ask at customer services as they only seem to put a couple out on shelf but might have more stock in the back. Hope not already posted, did check but couldn't find anything recent.

You're very welcome NareshT and thank you for commenting, it's only my 2nd post on HUKD and it initially went cold, I couldn't understand why as it seemed a good deal for brand new (Amazon used was £230 +)...began to understand why people are put off posting but you have restored my faith! :wink:

I would give it a go if I was 100% sure it can run Linux/Freebsd without issues.

We had one of these. Its a good machine, nothing amazing but does the job for casual use.

Upgraded to win10 which has made it a little quicker.

Physically you can tell its cheaply made, but didnt bother us. Mainly used for web and basic apps.

Slightly more chuffed as it cost £60 after nectar pts and colleague discount!

I was going to get the one in Tesco for my mum. It has the Pentium quad core, but this would do fine. She only uses it for the internet and silly facebook games.

Got a Toshiba nb101a recently which has similar spec to this and its actually quite adequate. Windows 10 was a bit of a faff to get on but is a huge improvement. Stick an Ssd in one of these for £45 and they should be pretty good.

I went in today and they told me the price, came home and discussed it with my husband as he knows a bit more about laptops and he went back less than an hour later to buy it but they said price has gone back up.
