people who are voting cold please share link where I can find it cheaper. thanks
I purchased to sharpen a bunch of knives that an older relative has in their drawer that are duller than dull and inexpensive. I will however finish them off on a steel.
As others have noted elsewhere, the sharpener removes quite a lot of blade and quickly, but from my own experiences, this is exaggerated if you press down when pulling rather than pulling the knife with not much more than it's own weight.
The resultant edge if heavy handed is sharp but it will also be borderline serrated. In addition, the blade angle is quite a "V".
All of which means for good knives it is a no, no, but for your average kitchen full of buckshee kitchen utensils, it's a good enough piece of kit giving a good enough cutting edge and quickly.
