The thing about Ameriecan Eagle this is that they do not last more then a few washes or a few wears and I doubt this sub £6 shoes will do any better.
I bought a few items from them, (always having a sale of some sort) and after a few washes, freying on all the seems, esp. where the cuffs are. Colours faded after a few more washes.
Its the sort of stuff you got from markets before the internet was popular, it just fits tighter!

I wondered what the quality was like but I bought a pair of Toms last summer and they were rubbish anyway - I could have 6 pairs of these for what my Toms cost me

Never had a problem with AE quality. Me and my wife bought several pairs of jeans and other items of clothing in their 2012 sales in New York, we've worn them regularly and they've barely faded in the wash, no loose threads etc.
Unless they are selling a different quality garment here in the UK.

Totally agree, I visit the states a few times a year to see family and never had a problem. Thinking the same thing - is the UK quality different?
