It makes me angry that this service, which saves so many lives, is not fully funded by the bloody taxes we all pay!! But no, our government will sit back and let people pay extra while giving India a huge wad of cash for a new spaceship!!!! What next? a charity to pay for ambulances? a collection box for teaching staff???? :smirk:

Nah mate, you're a racist. Out of all the *billions* of pounds of government waste and failing initiatives and unpaid taxes, you focus on the money going to the Muslims and the Indians. That makes you racist. As for my intelligence and education, I can absolutely guarantee that you're not in a position to question them.

Pretty clear even to the most stupid of people... or at least I thought it was!?! You simply cannot accuse me of racism for reporting a legitimate story. Do I think that its right? not a chance, EVERYONE should be offered the ability to speak the host language INCLUDING MEN, but no matter how hard you try to twist things, you cant blame me for that.
Perhaps if they follow my method, you could put your name down for a few lessons? you clearly have trouble reading/understanding and as a result, your level of ignorance is astounding.

I agree but dont blame the government. What people forget is that all government spending comes from taxation. If you want better services then you need to pay more tax. But putting taxes up is unpopular. Think about it when was ladt time a party was elected based on promise to ncrease taxes???? . There's your answer.

Absolutely. Don't understand why they don't get public funding. Provide a critical emergency service in life or death situations...shouldn't constantly have to fundraise.

Why is it any lack of government funding is suddenly used as a political football. Lack of flood defences, blame the refugee, lack of air ambulance, blame India. The current tory austerity program is through choice, plain and simple. They want any and every public service to be privatised, run for profit. The market rules.
But don't let facts get in the way of blaming those less well off for our own government choices.

Not anymore mate, try reading some news papers now and then instead of posting crazy comments just for the sake of likes from other stupids like you. Read below.
Indian government is not accepting any charity money from UK and India have offered Nepal and other countries 100s of million dollars at earthquakes and other disasters. If some are giving money to India (through some charity) to feel they are in the elite squad of rich, they are to blame. Use Africa or similar now on, not India. India is well off, don't worry.

Who's government are you talking about, surely not ours. Agree that there's alot of inefficiency and wastage but this extends out to local councils and public sector organisations, often run by people with little private sector experience. No competition. Jeed to privatise the public sector. But individuals need to take responsibility. I'm referring to those who don't contribute to society in any meaningful name who take out but dont put in. who happy stay at home claiming benefits , having more children that we then have to pay for and due to unhealthy lifestyles put added pressure on our NHS .which when us taxpayers need it were left waiting in queues or on trolleys in the corridors until those with self inflicted conditions get priority treatment at our expense. cut the welfare budget and refuse to treat anyone with self inflicted conditions or charge them . why should we pick up the cost of treating self inflicted obesety or smoke related illnesses . they know the risks if they choose to ignore them force them to pay or suffer.

I wouldn't drop a penny in this lot's tins. They infringe on other areas, even here in the Thames Valley. We have our own genuine air ambulance TVAA and there has been anger for some years over this bunch -Rutland, Leicestershire and Derbyshire and the extremely controversial Children's Air Ambulance. We get bags stuffed through our doors here in Thames Valley by this lot, and only if you read the small print do you realise they're intruding on someone else's air ambulance service. The Children's Air Ambulance - oh yeah, the controversial one. Siting their tins next to other AA tins. And having bags stuffed as above through doors.
See this old link. There is loads out there.

There was no outburst?!? As far as I am aware the Air Ambulance has been around for many years and it has RELIED on donations for all of those years. I am aware that the (official) funding for India has stopped (as far as I recall, they actually REQUESTED it to stop?), but so what, are you so blinkered in your little 'PC obsessed bubble' that only the current year counts?!? Did we send over £200m to India during a year when this service wasn't government funded, yes or no?
Now the fact that I pointed that out, along with the MP expenses, somehow makes ME racist?!? Amazing how that works nowadays, its like the new killer parent phrase, "stop showing off". Somehow its supposed to win any argument, regardless of whether it fits, as the sheep run around trying to show how more PC they are than the rest  If wanting the best for EVERYONE who lives in this country is racist, then yes, I'm racist. I just don't get how that works.... Do yourself a favour and go back to reading the Beano, given your level of reasoned argument, I'd guess its more suited to you

The children's Air ambulance should not be confused with the Great North Air Ambulance service. The latter actually own three helicopters and are regularly in the news for critical rescues. The Children's Air Ambulance don't pick up motorcyclists and in the first five years rescued nobody. Most of the collections were paid in consultancy fees to the founder. wikipedia has the details.

I agree, a massive portion of our taxes goes out of our Country to fund things that are of no benefit to the tax payer, along with the huge amounts of wastage that you have mentioned. Remember when we were all encouraged to Give Camelot our money because " as well as having a chance of winning you will also be giving to our charities and worthy causes" well how many of us are aware that Camelot was sold out to a Canadian company, and that very little of the raised money we put in now stays here...
