I need a monitor for work (I'm a primary HT) because I'm fed up with straining my eyes toward a laptop screen. Would this be too much? I only need basic web browsing and email (so many emails!).
Thanks and Merry Christmas

1440p will give you a higher resolution, so things will appear 'smaller' by default. Increase the display in Windows to 125% (or more) and you'll get a lovely, sharp image. My dad uses 200% scaling, which makes it look more like a tablet, but is very easy on his eyes. You don't need to go that high though.
Another option is the Dell 2514H, but that's generally more expensive (not by much though). It depends if you want 25 or 27 inch.
Personally I don't like the big drive towards larger screens. I find it rather pointless having a screen so big on my desk that I need to move my head around to physically see it all. 25" is the largest I'm happy with (2 of them), but each to their own.
