Vodafone without doubt the worst network for everything especially customer service.Spent 1h6mins before someone even bothered to answer a phone and when they did it was a waste of time due to lack of interest and common sense shown by avoidafone.Wouldnt care if this deal was free I still wouldn't have it and for anyone else thinking about it DONT :disappointed:

I think it's a different experience for everyone...I've had the best customer service and network service with them over O2 and even EE who I previously had a contract with prior to joining Vodafone...For my location, the network is continously stable and can even pick up a signal 2 floors below ground at my work car park (which the previous 2 networks couldnt)....they also seem to throw in better deals through retention imo.

Agree, absolutely horrendous, customer service unable to resolve anything which is not on their script. I was given the run around for months before raising a complaint with the Ombudsman, got £60 for the hassle and left. Will never return.

Confused about this one. Getting hot but really doesn't look like a good price?
Only £44 a month for the same deal on Vodafone and EE on mobile phones direct. OK you don't get the Amazon voucher but £20 a month savings got to be good if you don't mind 24 nth contract.
ficosaneil to stephensims
5 Jan 16#26
Yeah it's swings and round abouts really. Do the other deals come with 10gb?
This has me tempted, I said I'd never do a 24 month contract again and this is spreading the cost of the handset interest free over a year, plus the great tariff plus the Amazon voucher, plus the cashback.

My experience with Vodafone (3 years ago) was similarly terrible! This was pre-4G and too many of the masts in my area (Oxfordshire) had brilliant 2G (5-bars) but NO 3G at all! Using the phone for data was just painful!
I would need some reassurance that Vodafone's 4G roll-out has rectified these 3G failings before considering them again! :man:
What coverage do Vodafone have? As EE is so bad in my area so I have to stick with 02, Giff gaff, Tesco
BrianM to whosagooner

They have a coverage checker! This does seem to show them as having vastly improved in the locations they were really bad at (for data) in my area (my earlier post!)

Heat added! I got my iPhone5 (2013) on a similar type of deal from Vodafone via Phones4U. If someone was considering buying the phone outright (which I was with the iP5), this is a great deal.
In regards to Vodafone, the CS is absolute s****, the coverage depends on where you are AS WITH ALL network providers, their data speeds are pretty good (although I haven't tried them with 4G).
Also, Vodafone unlocked my iP5 for free within the first month or 2 of my contract - just a simple online request form. Not sure if things have changed since.

It's not just a mobile phone.. it's £64 a month for a mobile phone plus Vodafone plan.. 10Gb internet etc.. (which you'd pay more or less £15 or £20 a month in EE or O2, just for the plan)... and the most interesting.. it's a 12 month contract.. not a 24 months one like the others.

Vodafone are also the only network not to cap your data. I also had a problem of being overcharged for data which I did not use anyway. I was sent to the apple store to verify that there wasn't a phone issue. the apple assistant confirmed they receive a lot of Vodafone customers with the same issue. Being overcharged for data on apple phones used to be a common problem for Vodafone customers but was supposed to have been resolved. Apparently a manager also confirmed the same to the call assistant. But to date 10 months later I still have not been refunded and have stopped using data to be safe. the worst provider I have experienced.

I recently bought sim only plan on Vodafone and then rang customers service. they kept me waiting for 30 mins in off peak time. I would suggest try sorting problem via online e.g. number port etc. cust service lone should not be reasons for not buying Vodafone as how many times you have to call them. also try online. I have seen worst with t mobile sitting in south Africa and showing highly unprofessional way.

Whilst this is a good deal, Vodafone are an awful, awful company to deal with. I've been with them since April last year and have had nothing but problem after problem. Sim only 12 month but as soon as my contract expires I'm moving and I will NEVER use Vodafone again for the rest of my life. It is THAT bad.
