I bought this monitor for video editing at £200 recently but for this price its actually quite a bargain as normal 4K monitors sell for £250+
Also for a 4K IPS display with 4ms input delay, its actually very impressive.
Notes.
1. Monitor is actually 23.6"
2. Display port puts out full 60hz at 4K resolution.
3. Includes speakers
4. Has VESA mount.
5. DVI, HDMI, Display Port input options.

Rubbish.
Your just re-spouting a comment you've read on a TV thread. when sitting in front of a PC monitor its easy to see the difference between a FHD and 4k image.

Then why have phones with 1080p/2K screens. I can tell you there is a big difference at 24".

Working with a 4K 40" monitor (crossfire 404) to replace the old 47" 1080p IPS LCD Tevion tv in conjunction with my work laptop screen, a 1024*768 and a 1440*900 at the same time has made using Visio & excel & PowerPoint & word & outlook & lync and other tools such as calc and notepad all at the same time viable. Caution over the 4K monitors - HDMI needs to be 2.0 for full speed (60hz) otherwise laggy 30hz is the best achievable. DisplayPort needs to be newer than (I think ) 1.3 for 60hz. VGA and dvi will not give full res and full screen. I'm certainly looking to replace the two lower resolution monitors with 4K smaller monitors and using USB 3 adaptors to get 4K all round. Just wish I could put it on expenses, but it's worth it to work from home!

No, the images are 6,016 x 4,000. I can see them on a 1080p monitor but it is either zoomed out or 1/4 of the image at full size. 4K resolution means I can see more of the picture at full size.

Wouldn't say Windows 7 is outdated, still 55% of the market.
I'm in favour of high resolution. I just think 4k in 24" is a waste. 4 documents (at font size 12) would give you less than 3mm high text.
I'm typing this on a 27" 1440p monitor, which I think is a better balance. I've no issues with pixelation or readability, and I use it for lots of text (not documents, but coding so lots of open text windows).

There is a massive difference between 1440p & 4K, never mind 1080p vs 4K.
I went from a 32" 1440p monitor to a 40" 4K TV / monitor and the difference was clear even at that size.

4k allows me the clarity to see and read each document without issue.
I have up to 4 office documents open on my monitor at a time; I would struggle to read any of the contents at 1080p monitor.
Also you must be working with an outdated operating system if you're having trouble with scaling.
4K is definitely very useful in monitors.

I have a 4k 28" and there is a painfully enormous difference between 1080p and 4k
Anyone saying 4k at 24 inch is pointless has never had a 4k monitor.
Shut the hell up if you aren't talking from experience.

I've seen and used 4k screens at sizes 24" to 65", and I don't see the point in that kind of pixel density in 24". The windows start icon is ridiculously tiny. Nothing is readable at normal zoom/size, have to keep scaling everything up.

Depends entirely upon how close to the screen one is.

Agreed. I've seen 4k at various sizes, and 24" is just ridiculous. The average user really doesn't need that kind of pixel density. Maybe if you really need to see each pixel, like video/graphic work. I've seen 4k at 65" and even then you don't notice the pixels from a few feet away.

actually the higher the resolution the closer you can get without noticing loss of quality so even though the size of the monitor is smaller there will still be a noticeable difference and naturally you will be right in front of the screen so you will especially notice.

This isn't for the average user though. 1366 x 768 or 1080p is for average users, 4K at this size is great for gamers and photography users. I have a 4K monitor and use it for all my post processing (and the occasional gaming) because 1080p is too small to show the entire picture at 100% that my DSLR takes.
and you stand a chance of decent frame rates without having to fork out an arm and leg on a graphics card or 2

Exactly and that is why a PC monitor should have high resolution like they always have had in the past. Because you sit close to it. Whereas a TV sits much further, a higher resolution is only required if the screen size is increased.

Well compare a 1080p/2K screen at 5 inches with a 720p device also at 5 inches and trust me you will see a difference.

I wonder why it's so hard to find a definitive answer on whether this is a 60hz panel? It's not on the data sheet or the specs, and all I can find on google is forum posts. Why wouldn't they list this?
I'm just always wary of low cost 4k Panels since Dell put out that 30hz one a year or two back.
