Long 0% period for balance transfers with barclaycard for a fairly low fee of 2.54%.
The £27.27 cashback via TCB will also hopefully offset the fee for most too. I got this deal a while ago and it tracked & paid with no issues whatsoever.
Remember to clear debts or set a reminder to shift again before the 37 months end though or you'll be hit with huge interest repayments. 37 months is a long time and most won't keep the same calendar, diary or phone for the full period - I set a yearly reminder in my phone with how long I have left just so I don't forget when the rate jumps up!
Mine paid out no problem with barclaycard - did you raise a claim? Wish I could say the same for the £202 I was due for signing up with talk talk :/

Also fee is 2.19% for the same card direct. Still better with this is cash back tracks unless your transferring a large balance.

Obviously. Apparently Barclay can just declined it and cashback people cannot do much about it, although I was assured we do monitor all claims for our customer but unfortunately can't help any further in this matter. Useless!

Same with most lenders sadly. I was in the same position a few years ago but managed to get a card from my bank just for the purpose of building my score. From there managed to get mortgage, cards, etc as needed but I 100% agree its always best to pay by debit where possible!

Checked my credit scoring the only negative I have is I don't have a credit card hence why I wanted to get one, I may just pop in to my bank and speak to someone. Banks are just looking how to make as many interest as possible but with people managing their finance well we are a bad business for them
Quite the opposite. A history of having, using & paying off a credit card is better for you than just using cash/debit cards. With the right credit card, you'll also get benefits like cashback/points/airlines for free.
Mine also declined , you see the issue is they know it's up to 100 days to claim for a declined cashback so what Barclays do is let your transaction stay at pending for 100 days then suddenly it's declined and there's nothing at all you can do about it , so if you are going for the cashback forget it , also look at the shocking reviews on the tcb website .

Yorkshire and Clydesdale bank offer 26 months interest free on purchases and 18 months on balance transfers. So a good credit card for first timers

Sorry it's 12 months balance transfer and I was able to choose what limit I wanted so I don't go crazy with my spending!

Couldnt agree more! I have access to thousands with no interest should I require it for any reason, and always pay cards off in full and abuse/use the banks for all I can! Credit cards can be quite good/profitable if you're clever!

New customers or can existing BC customers get this?

Agreed. I've had credit cards for years and never paid a penny in interest of charges for the privilege. In fact, I've gained about £50 in Quidco/TCB through them and when I recently rang Barclaycard to cancel my card (due to the expiry of 0% purchases promotion) they gave me another 12 months, and £20 credit for being a 'good customer'! - I can't think why.

TCB (topcashback) is SH*T . Cashback you will receive after 8 to 10 months if you are lucky.

I know it's better for credit score & perks but I'd much rather be in the position to have the cash in the bank
