thanks Op, sounds like a bargain. had a look at the ingredients to see what youre putting on your skin, its all chemicals and colourings (see below) there's no moisturisers or oils (except castor oil).
In case you're prone to dry skin, steer clear of Body Shop gels as the chemicals in the gels will make your skin dry and flaky.
Good point, that list appears to contain a lot of nasty pollution to the environment, worse than a plastic bag, the government should impose 5p tax for each plastic bottle, 10p tax for the non functional and not useful chemcal pollutants.

You do know moisturisers and oils are also 'chemicals', as are you?

This will be store specific and not nationwide. Wait until the next body shop sale window there will be plenty of stock and chances are better value. If you also still have one of the old love your body cards you may get a further 10% off.

That's just for people who react to chemicals.
Are there any reasonably priced shower gels that don't dry the skin out? I treat myself to good shower gels but begrudge paying it for my husband and kids. Just wondering if there is a cheaper alternative as I normally get BS ones for them.

It's a common misconception that the chemicals in shower gels alone dry out skin. It's more likely that it's down to the temperature of the water over the product you use. Even not drying correctly does not help. The majority of products use the same base ingredients. Liz Earle does not use SLS in its products, think about using lotions that will aid cracked or dry skin.

My skin flakes with both Body Shop and Avon shower gels. I use cream shower products like Dove and my legs are fine with that, even though Dove contain chemicals too, there must be moisturisers in there too.
Thanks

I think body shop
Products genuinely suck.... And this is coming from a guy who currently works for them, they are already twice the price they should be, and the only reason people buy their products is because it smells nice. Their products are poor and don't work for long.

Shower cremes are less irritable, I know its more expensive but have you tried L'Occitane shea, if you cant use certain products, their shea range is excellent. I don't think Body Shop products are less effective than others. Some of the make up range is good and the brushes are some of the best on the high street. It all depends how your skin reacts to the products Simplyalif. Some products which don't work well for you, may have excellent results for others. It does depend on the individual.

Thank you, I got 2 gift sets and some bits and pieces today. It was a bit of a pain at the till because the 40% came off some things but not others and had to be sorted manually.
There's an online code also showing on VoucherCloud - it's the same code but gives 40% off and free delivery when spending £25 online, including on sale stuff

Of course.
I find L'Occitane sell overpriced overhyped refined chemical in their products. If you look on the ingredients they are as rubbish as Body Shop. they might add Shea to their chemicals but look how cheap organic Shea is for a whole jar of the stuff - just £8,
i don't know why anyone buys L'Occitane, there's nothing natural in their products !
sorry for the rant.

I'm struggling to understand how anyone lives, if they want to avoid chemicals, addatives and preservatives in foods and products. They are not over priced at all given their product development is considerably higher and the composite ingredients are to. Higher running costs, people say Morton brown and other premium brands are over priced, but the price is fair.
