Are you being serious? A scam.... lol. This is the most retarded thing I've heard on this site. If you don't need anything then don't buy anything. They are offering £10 off a £50 spend it's as simple as that. They're not saying spend your money or they'll take your legs. People will always spend unnecessarily when offers like this come out. But to say it's a scam... lmao

Nah, it won't - gift cards are treated differently from most other products when it comes to payment, to prevent what could perhaps be seen as abuse of promotions like this.

Hmmm... good stuff? Should we all make a list of general household/ life essential items that people will ALWAYS need and some that wear out fairly often? (Apart from shoes and clothing)
Here's some:
Good quality scissors (Fiskars)
Swiss Army Knife (I recommend the Deluxe Tinker, as it has pliers, which are one of the most useful non-standard tools; currently £37, although it has been a fair bit cheaper in the past)
Teflon frying pans (there was a GREAT offer of 3 for 4 on many items, including Tefal pans a few months ago, AND they were MUCH cheaper too, about half what they are now, so really not the best time to buy at the mo'...)
Yep, this deffo looks like in your eagerness to buy stuff to take advantage of this offer, you may end up overspending by AT LEAST £10, AND ending up with stuff you didn't really need or much want either.
What else is new?

22 Jan 16#118
if i order a ps4 game that's out now and add a preorder on top of it to make it over 50 quid, will i get charged for both or only the game that's out now? i'm aware amazon only charge for preorders once it's been dispatched (and i'm probably now answering my own question) but i've not preordered from amazon in along time and checkout is coming up with the total for both games.... help anyone?
example:....
guitar hero live 40.00
the division pre order 44.00
-coupon = 74.00
so if they only charged for guitar hero now, would i get guitar hero for 30.00? and the division for full whack later on?
tomwatts to didsburydan
22 Jan 16#137
Doubt it, discount is normally percentage based with Amazon so it'd be £35.24 for Guitar Hero and you could then cancel the division. Be better to do that with an £11 bluray though!
I might be wrong though...
Deedie
22 Jan 16#119

All they are essentially doing is refunding the difference

I've been looking at the soundmagic e10 and e50 which range from £30-50. If you want a mic/volume control it's an extra £5 for the e10S or e50S. I just upgraded to the E50S seeing as it's £50 for this voucher but the standard E10 is supposed to some of the best value for money at £30.

Sorry I've not read the trail of all the comments so I may be missing the plot - but the saving is always £10, and yes of course what in percentage terms £10 is of a final price varies with the price - that's how percentages work
....but the saving is £10
.....I could save 50% on something at 10p but (and may be it's my decadent western ways ) but I would not get too excited over the saving of 5p.

Amazon chose its name to begin with the letter "A" due to the probability it would occur at the top of any list that was alphabetised.
Amazon's logotype has features a curved arrow leading from A to Z, representing that the company carries every product from A to Z, with the arrow shaped like a smile.
The reason for the name Amazon is geographical. Their headquarters are situated in the Brazilian rainforest of the same name, floating along the gargantuan river on millions of polystyrene boxes - the same kind included in your deliveries. Thanks to not being land based, Amazon is able to avoid paying taxes.

Alternatively use a preorder trick to get money off whatever you want. In my case I wanted some compression leggings which were £20, added a random game that's not out the summer which pushes this above £50, get my £10 off, cancel the game pre order after you receive item that you want and voila, leggings (not as girly as it sounds :P) for a tenner.

I used to do this to be able to get product delivered free such as add on items and items cheaper than £20. However, I found that they had gotten wise to it and it doesn't allow you to cancel it. You have to contact them and it is 50/50 to if they will or not.
The best thing I found is that you do the order. Then get the game delivered and return it for a refund. A bit more long winded but easier than trying to persuade Amazon CS to cancel the pre order.

its also around £5 more expensive now than it was before
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0151KMEMU
be sure to look under the list of other stockists and pick Amazon
Not sure when this will be back in stock but for that price for a SSHD it's worth the wait.
This is where they win with these deals....people end up buying stuff they would never have bought.
As an aside, I was gutted I picked up my Audio Technica M50X last week. Well, I was till I realised I paid £90 2 weeks ago, and they are now £110.
my point was, the game cost £5 more than it did previously. he also had to buy something else to make up the £50 minimum spend, so the saving is not as great as it would seem.
someone bagged one today at tescos at £22.50 with 3d Mario preinstalled on firmware 4.3
Heat OP, might of missed this on the amazon homepage
Thank you op
Seriously tempted to just bite the bullet and replace my old Samsung Galaxy S2 right now.
Xbox blah blah with code.
Ps4 with code
MotoG 159 with code
Any other object cheaper with code.
Although consoles seem to have jumped in price by £10...
you seen the original post before I added too it. i see what you mean
I added this to my order to bring it up to £50
Pandora items I ordered have all gone up by less than £1 each, but i've got student discount too, so makes little difference I suppose
the amount of duplicate posts is ridiculous.
hit the expire button and report as spam. bet it will be still here for the rest of the day.

i doubt it
example:....
guitar hero live 40.00
the division pre order 44.00
-coupon = 74.00
so if they only charged for guitar hero now, would i get guitar hero for 30.00? and the division for full whack later on?
I might be wrong though...
All they are essentially doing is refunding the difference
could abuse that big time if the apply the code to the game dispatched and then cancel the preorder
i wouldn't say there is a specific time frame though. some times it comes down to luck with who you speak too, or how hard you push them.
threatening to return the item usually works
the guy didn't know, lol. took my chances with my order anyway. i'll just have to check my bank statement tomorrow.
Now to make another.
Do it. Treat yourself.
You won't regret it.
So, can anyone recommend something for about £23-25 quid? I'm always needing tech stuff (hard drives, memory cards, chargers, etc)
Thanks
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sandisk-extreme-64-gb-usb-3-0-flash-drive-22-00-amazon-2378904
Apparently it has an SSD inside....know you can get it a few pence cheaper from a third party seller on Amazon but if you're trying to make up an order to £50 to get £10 off well worth paying the few extra pennies to get it from Amazon....hope that makes sense
We could end up with 100's of £50+ items being reduced by £10 to make them the best deal around
Tempted to preorder and get another game then cancel uncharted
Also bought a £30 gift card to use on it so I'll be getting a £7 voucher later that I can use towards Force Awakens bluray
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-H200-Performance-Hybrid-Drive/dp/B013J7NSMC/ref=pd_sim_sbs_147_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=41xqFofofHL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR119%2C160_&refRID=1RZ9D0HE98B4BPTBX454
Other than price?
Also, a quick skim of the T's & C's and it says the £7 voucher can't be used with other offers, but hey, tenner off now and 7 quid towards your next Amazon purchase ain't too shabby
Thanx for all that, I DID kind of wonder?, hehehehehe. :-)
£10.00 off
plus £1.00 no rush delivery
£16.67 for Mobil Super 2000 X1 10W-40 5L never cheaper re: camelcamelcamel
thanks OP
ps
amazon review at 'normal price' (before 20% OFF - the £50 portion of the order):
"Absolute bargain from amazon, I can't get this that cheap any where near me."
"This is the best engine oil and I'm strongly recommend it to everyone who values their vehicles, no doubt about it, and also good value for money, oh yeah."
All1
I wonder how many people actually click on/go via "get deal" anyway...

And boooooom
Also 5% on Quidco "Lawn & Garden" may work?
Thanks
Why all the excitement? Or am I missing something.
Some people.
....but the saving is £10
.....I could save 50% on something at 10p but (and may be it's my decadent western ways ) but I would not get too excited over the saving of 5p.
Meh! Now I've got to start putting in the effort :P
5% NUS discount applies to the pre voucher price!
Could mean a 20% saving to someone which could buy flowers for their mum/wife/daughter; go towards a meal for 2; put a couple of cars through a car wash; etc. If you're spending the money anyway then your money can go further.
I've voted hot, thanks OP.
You pay £59 to remove amazon special offer advertisement, with this bigthanks it will come back down to £49
I've just bought a warehouse open box item and an infinity set for my son for £55.87 and it reduced it by £10....
I'M IN!!!!

Preorder a game for £50 (ish)

Got myself 2 bodymax kettlebells and a massage stick for £42 :sunglasses:
thank you please
Also, does no-one read the deal's T&C anymore?
Nice bargain hunting
by Amazon and my order was sold by someone else but fulfilled by Amazon. Not shipped so I can cancel,
but has anyone found an android tv box sold and fulfilled by amazon.. please show me how to search for those items. thanks
Anybody reccommend a decent 4G MiFi device and also a good portable battery powerbank.
Going abroad in a few months so would come in handy.
Cancelled order.
May not cancel...
THE TENSION!!!!!
Nice retail tactics by Amazon.
....or that might have been Tesco.
Now to debate returning them (I don’t want to do that really as I ordered happily at the price I paid) and re-ordering or just spending for the sake of spending!
Already received the rejection haha!

Though their 'Amazon Logistics' deliveries over Christmas were notoriously poor?
Edit: Dispatched when restocked and make sure amazon are the selected seller apparently.
F.U. Amazon!
Fire TV hasn't increased so this is a good time to buy if you have been considering getting one.
Seems Legit :man:
Madness.
Works perfectly on warehouse deals, android TV box, wireless keypad and 32 duracell AA ordered for just over £40
The best thing I found is that you do the order. Then get the game delivered and return it for a refund. A bit more long winded but easier than trying to persuade Amazon CS to cancel the pre order.
Or can this work if they are fulfilled by Amazon only?
Thanks
Antman 3D. (£17.99)
The Hobbit - The Battle of the Five Armies 3D. (£19.99)
Straight Outta Compton. (£12.99)
Do you think Amazon will let you reuse the code over and over again, or just allow you to use it once?
C'mon...you can do this! I believe in you!
Got some cheap memory for one of my HP Microservers and the vinegar - all for £51.44 delivered.
16GB Memory: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008C4LITS £58.45
Balsamic Vinegar: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002E2JVA2 £2.99
You obviously have too much time on your hands
It's obviously working.....Nearing 5000 degrees....buy now, think later....
Can't think of any thing that I need for now but voted hot!
The prices of the new 3ds xl jumped massively, amongst many other things.
Amazon Fire TV for instance was £64.00 now £79.00
Would the code become invalid?
I can only add the card version, which is £5 more expensive to the basket.
Been on to chat and they trying to escalate further, but no chance of it being an option before this offer ends. Gutted.
Can't even add 4 3 month cards to the basket.
Sadly only £49.99 amazon direct, rest was with 3rd party sellers.
Spoke to Amazon chat who said they could have applied the voucher to my order if it was over £50 but £49.99 doesn't qualify so nothing they could do.
Sent an Email to Amazon customer services who agreed this was unfair and refunded me the £10. Result :stuck_out_tongue:
Think it's definitely worth checking the Camels when considering how to 'save' this £10.
Amazombies.......me too!
God I spend way to much money on my PC
poor show amazon
What?
- Spent over £50?
- All items sold by Amazon, and not a reseller?
- You are shopping on Amazon? :man:

I'm looking for 2 items, can anybody help?
1. Portable phone charged (sold by Amazon)
2. Portable hard drive for use with Xbox One (sold by Amazon).
Any recommendations?
Unfortunately I can't cancel the existing order & re-order as the price has gone up (more than £10).
Thanks.
