Mine came from amazon France yesterday, as soon as I switched it on, it asked for language. Then the game download was in English, not a problem. Downloaded a couple of demos, can't believe how much the games have changed from the 360. The demo of Dying Light is incredible! Very happy. Used the Kettle lead from the 360 to supply the new One.

They do only have 2 holes. Not sure normal kettle lead would work plus I think the Xbox lead is only a 10amp fuse to

Mine is due today as well.. Trying to wait patiently!

Does anyone know can I use a standard kettle plug or does it have to be a kettle with only 2 prongs?

My console arrived but sadly due a sorting error UPS has delayed my 2nd controller. Oh well no rush for that. The money saved was put towards games that have also arrived today so plenty to keep me going for a while :-)

Xbox arrived today, Took 2 days from placing my order to it getting here, used express delivery. Install took 27 mins. EU plug with it, so ordered a UK one on Amazon for £4 (including postage). Now just got to reinstall the games I want. lol. Happy Xboxing ppl.

Bundle arrived as a non-language specific pack really, including the game. I guess the only difference to the UK is the power lead.

By the way, I've heard it takes about 2 hours to install all the updates once you get it!

I just thought I would share this for those who like me are a little worried that their order would eventually be cancelled down and by that time all the deals else where will have gone. My order status has been in 'On Going' since I placed the order, which I expected since its been Christmas and Bank Holidays. Since today is the first working day in France I thought I would just do a quick online chat with Microsoft to make sure everything was ok. If it wasn't I wanted to ensure there was time to place my order with Amazon France instead. The Microsoft online advisor, Luminita S, was great and thankfully spoke English. She confirmed we should be receiving confirmation emails today:

On a separate note I have seen a few people ask about if the games language will be locked to French. From what I understand the language for EU games defaults to the system language set on the xbox so if you set the xbox to English it should be ok. As others have mentioned you just need to buy a kettle plug which are only a few quid.

halifax blocked my card twice trying to buy this. What a let down, closest to best bundle I've seen so far.

But you just select Grande-Bretagne and you can put UK address for billing and delivery.....

There is a picture on #3 post that shows where you change it from France to the UK.

UK citizens are unable to take this offer as the website will not allow you to choose a UK address for delivery, this has been confirmed by Microsoft UK. Different deals for different countries no matter that their offers are superior to ours!! ;(

Finally managed to order... it was the fraud prevention check the same as ADAMH0, a quick phone call and all sorted.

Techboy how did you get it to work? Address has gone in fine but I keep getting error 30145.

I finally got it to work! It was HSBC's fraud prevention team that blocked the payments! I phoned them up and verified that it was me that wanted to make the payment and it went through without any problems. If anyone else is having problems like that then it might be worth a quick call to your bank to make sure they aren't blocking the payment.

I cannot get the payment to go through. I've tried paypal and different credit cards but always get a 30225 error code. Very frustrating as it is the best deal around!

I haven't received mine yet so can't say for certain on the game language but I'm pretty sure you should be able to simply set the language on the Xbox. With so many deals on Amazon fr/ Amazon de I think (hope) we would have heard something by now!

Probably a really stupid question ...but apart from the changing the lead, will the console work as per any other bought from a UK store? - I'm thinking of ordering for my son and don't want to be bogged down with major language issues when setting up/operating? Sounds like a great deal but i'm a complete novice. TIA

You should be getting better heat than this for this deal.I don't understand why people are afraid to order from France. Half so called UK online shops aren't UK based anymore. The amount is being converted from euros to pounds so sometimes they charge a fee. Some Halifax and nationwide cards don't though, maybe Barclays does :disappointed:
