i did the Microsoft chat and then they rang me back and took my order mine worked out at £258.75

The amount is being converted from euros to pounds so sometimes they charge a fee. Some Halifax and nationwide cards don't though, maybe Barclays does :disappointed:

You should be getting better heat than this for this deal.I don't understand why people are afraid to order from France. Half so called UK online shops aren't UK based anymore. I doubt that Cool shop deal is. I ordered, first it wouldn't go through but it was my bank Nat West. They then sent me a text to confirm the purchase. Which I did, then ordered again and everything was fine..

How are people ordering? Postcode invalid, and no UK/England region only France and other EU countries.

I spent a good hour looking at all the UK boxing day deals and nothing came close to either the Amazon France or Microsoft France deals. Opted to use this deal since you get a free game/controller. 1TB Xbox One with Tomb Raider bundle and a free 2nd controller for £258. Bargain!!! Nearly hundred quid saved which I'm now putting towards games.

Probably a really stupid question ...but apart from the changing the lead, will the console work as per any other bought from a UK store? - I'm thinking of ordering for my son and don't want to be bogged down with major language issues when setting up/operating? Sounds like a great deal but i'm a complete novice. TIA

I haven't received mine yet so can't say for certain on the game language but I'm pretty sure you should be able to simply set the language on the Xbox. With so many deals on Amazon fr/ Amazon de I think (hope) we would have heard something by now!

I finally got it to work! It was HSBC's fraud prevention team that blocked the payments! I phoned them up and verified that it was me that wanted to make the payment and it went through without any problems. If anyone else is having problems like that then it might be worth a quick call to your bank to make sure they aren't blocking the payment.

Try registering at microsoft uk and link it to your hotmail account (if you don't have one then set one up,

Once done go back to Microsoft France and place order, it will then pull your bank details through, so all you need to put in is your address

Finally managed to order... it was the fraud prevention check the same as ADAMH0, a quick phone call and all sorted.

UK citizens are unable to take this offer as the website will not allow you to choose a UK address for delivery, this has been confirmed by Microsoft UK. Different deals for different countries no matter that their offers are superior to ours!! ;(

But you just select Grande-Bretagne and you can put UK address for billing and delivery.....

There is a picture on #3 post that shows where you change it from France to the UK.

halifax blocked my card twice trying to buy this. What a let down, closest to best bundle I've seen so far.

It did give the option to order the standard 1tb consile With the addition of a free game of choice. But then you may as well grab an offer from other sources for a better discount. Eg. Amazon France.

I just thought I would share this for those who like me are a little worried that their order would eventually be cancelled down and by that time all the deals else where will have gone. My order status has been in 'On Going' since I placed the order, which I expected since its been Christmas and Bank Holidays. Since today is the first working day in France I thought I would just do a quick online chat with Microsoft to make sure everything was ok. If it wasn't I wanted to ensure there was time to place my order with Amazon France instead. The Microsoft online advisor, Luminita S, was great and thankfully spoke English. She confirmed we should be receiving confirmation emails today:

On a separate note I have seen a few people ask about if the games language will be locked to French. From what I understand the language for EU games defaults to the system language set on the xbox so if you set the xbox to English it should be ok. As others have mentioned you just need to buy a kettle plug which are only a few quid.

Bundle arrived as a non-language specific pack really, including the game. I guess the only difference to the UK is the power lead.

Xbox arrived today, Took 2 days from placing my order to it getting here, used express delivery. Install took 27 mins. EU plug with it, so ordered a UK one on Amazon for £4 (including postage). Now just got to reinstall the games I want. lol. Happy Xboxing ppl.

My console arrived but sadly due a sorting error UPS has delayed my 2nd controller. Oh well no rush for that. The money saved was put towards games that have also arrived today so plenty to keep me going for a while :-)

Does anyone know can I use a standard kettle plug or does it have to be a kettle with only 2 prongs?

They do only have 2 holes. Not sure normal kettle lead would work plus I think the Xbox lead is only a 10amp fuse to

Mine came from amazon France yesterday, as soon as I switched it on, it asked for language. Then the game download was in English, not a problem. Downloaded a couple of demos, can't believe how much the games have changed from the 360. The demo of Dying Light is incredible! Very happy. Used the Kettle lead from the 360 to supply the new One.
