Yes, I ordered a black 1tb, came in sealed WD box with plastic film still on it. Cable appears to be new also.

I've had one and they come in a brown paper box, with the cables and manuals inside and the plastic wrap still on the drive. If it wasn't for the brown paper box I'd say it was brand new.

Doesn't mean that at all. Most are demo or internal test units that are reformatted and repacked and those that are failures, have the drive replaced with a new unit.

Recertified is when something has been sent back because there was a fault/problem reported on it and now it has been fixed or no fault/problem was found after tests done on it and seems to be working/fixed now.

only 6 month warranty on recertified products. good price though but rather spend the extra and get a 3 year warranty

use it on the xbox one to store games, so not too bothered if it fails but honestly, they look brand new and I've had mine a while now, no issues.

Same with mine, bought the 1.5TB for £29 and the WD Cloud 2TB about a year ago, both came in plain brown box but drives and cables looked new (doesn't mean the drive itself is new....but after a year both running without a problem).
