Psu fail, or led strip fail?

if you are going to be using them only indoors then buy rhe non waterproof version. LEDs don't like to be waterproofed, because the heat can't dissipate when they are enclosed in a waterproofed casing causing them to last much less.

but i would use the waterproof ones around a kitchen area next to a cooker.... normal strips don't like steam ...

Had the waterproof ones attached to underside of top bunk in kids bedroom they haven't broken yet & get a real beating, despite being on for hours they don't even get particularly warm so can't see heat dissipation being an issue with them.
The only problem is the Now TV remote changes the settings on them

I need 10m of these for my sons new loft bed, but these cheap Chinese ones have been putting me off. But there doesn't seem to be a decent UK built one for anything less than megabucks for commercial ones.
Shame there isn't a middle ground, would be happy to pay £50-100 if I could get a decent guaranteed product.

Read the reviews about these products and company. They dont make good reading. I have bought waterproof and none waterproof. I have had the white indoor ones under my kitchen cupboards for 2 years, still working fine. I have also bought several rgb waterproof ones for outside at xmas, most have been ok for 1 xmas but all have failed in some way on the 2nd xmas but that also applies to many of the outdoor led lights I have also bought from China. You pays your money and takes your choice. Pay by Paypal, get your money back, buy from Amazon get your money back. I have to say that all of the people in China I have bought from mainly through Ebay have all refunded some if not all of the purchase price. The ones at Aldi were £29 from China,, the ones I bought were £7.99. I dont even know if any of this kind of strip lights are made in this country.

I had a set that died after 20 minutes, waste of time to be honest.

That's the problem I have faced - Maplin sell some which are a lot more expensive than the Amazon/ebay ones but they don't really look any different. Even the £70 B&Q packs look just like the ebay Chinese ones which makes me think they are importing and re-packaging.
