We had this. My son used it for ages. Kept him entertained for ages. Very well but. Excellent price.

Can't recommend this highly enough. My son had this, my daughter inherited it and my 7 month old already has his eye on it for when he's old enough. It's really well built, adapts as they grow and has never missed a beat.

I would say if they can sit up, you could support them on the seat. The control panel is detachable and could be played with on the floor like this:

I'd say 6 months with just the front panel detached. But not to use the actual rocker till about 1 years old if I remember correctly.
I've purchased this for a friends baby. Flubit offered £19 ish. Fulfilled by fireworks which is Amazon. HTH's
