I got the gold edition for £40 from the Colombian store earlier as I'm already set up to buy from there, quite happy with that price as it's £80 on the UK store!

Yeh, once you actually set up a foreign billing address and card its much easier as you can then just add top up to revolut and pay, will get this and PvZ 2.

I only use the VPN and my normal credit card. No need for Revolut.

Days, despite the fact it charged me to confirm the card I went ahead and was able to pay anyway.

Just means you have to wait before your 60p or whatever is refunded back to the revolut card.

Yeah I sorted it I couldn't get it to work on my mac book with a vpn.
But did it on my phone and it worked straight away!

Ill use it for a couple of games now - but when the free trial is over, it just means ill have to start buying 'x' amount of games to justify the saving.

I use Hola Browser on my Android phone. Free and easy to use.

Vypr that I mentioned is free as it's still in beta.

Hola has a reputation for stealing your bandwidth and being generally dodgy.

I think im now just waiting for the card to be confirmed, because I went through the whole process front to back – using the card – but it said I couldn’t use this payment method for this purchase.

Here's a Revolut tip:

I find getting a card transfer onto the app to be tricky, and time consuming.
Instead, I go into my online banking on my PC and set my Revolut account details up as a payment recipient alongside my regular bills like credit cards, council tax, etc.

Then I pay into Revolut direct from online banking rather than getting Revolut to 'take' the money from my bank account or debit card.

You're welcome. Revolut doesn't take credit cards and adding a debit card was fiddly. Especially at the 'enter your secure code' stage that the bank insists on.

Doing it via bank transfer was easy, but took about an hour to show up on Revolut. No rush though since we have until March.

The exchange rate seems even better today, making this game cheaper still!

I had bother on the Argentinian xbox store placing my order, ended up paying £10 more at the Brazilian £44 for the gold version very happy. I used the payment app you suggested.

Probably a standard of living difference, I expect. We have a higher quality of life and better salaries in the UK than in South America. They can afford less so get to pay less. The popular term for this is 'Rip-Off Britain'!

i wouldn't buy this i beta tested it and it's nothing special i was really disappointed the graphics were not even that good , a massive downgrade compared to what they showed at e3 , but i beta tested online mode only so maybe the single player will have higher graphics just maybe

You must be certain to be surfing via a VPN like Vypyr before this stage for it all to work and connected to an Argentinian server. I found it all easier on my Android phone on wi-fi.

Went onto the Argie Xbox.com via Chrome app.

The boxes for your card details are similar to if they were in English. Google translate can help you with the right boxes, but IIRC it's account name (same as your Revolut account), long card number, card start/end dates, 3 digit code from back of card, and use the address details of somewhere like an Argentinian branch of a major hotel (Google Hilton Argentina, for example).

I was also using android phone, used vpn unlimited as recommended above. I put in all the details and it refused me again and again. I ended up using my normal bank card, not sure if I've been charged any extra as a fee though

I used a bank card for a Colombia Xbox buy previously before I knew about Revolut and only got charged about 26p. You might get lucky.

I managed to get it to move past the Cardholder part and changed to a correct Argentinian address format but in my excitement forgot to turn the VPN back over to Argentina and submitted on the UK. MS put it through taking 19p but I've not had anything else to say the transfer or the transaction has gone through. Is there usually a delay between the initial 19p being taken and the transaction going through or is it likely that because I was on a UK server the transaction will not go through and when will I know one way or another? Can you explain what problems I may have with either MS, Resolut or anyone else due to me not using the Argentinian server please?

I should also mention, you don't want to do any of it on a PC. MS forces you onto UK xbox.com during the transaction if you're on the site.

Will I have to wait for Microsoft or have i done something wrong?

I was connected to Argentina server via VyprVPN desktop app.

I purchased mine on PC with Vyp vpn without issue.
it did not force me onto the UK site.

just make sure you switch vpn to argentina and then change x box .com page to Argentina which should be at the bottom of the page's site.

My transaction took hours to go through. Revolut isn't instant like Paypal, for me anyway.

Yes the 19p deducted showed up again but it will get refunded back, anyway i had topped up enough in my revolut account.

Way i did it was close browser connect to VyprVPN Argentina first then go and follow the process got charged straight away and it showed up on my Revolut transactions

I don't think it's possible to buy the same digital product from MS twice. Once it's bought, your option on the site changes from 'buy now' to 'go to game'.

It should go through fine, or fail and then maybe go through fine on another attempt. You would get an email to confirm the buy pretty quickly from MS once your purchase is successfully made.

I believe the refund of the pending transaction takes a few days.

If you go to the area My stuff at the bottom of the xbox home screen and click on My Games & apps it you should see it there ready to download
