The only reason poundland are still in business is that the cost of returning something is bigger than any refund you would get. If people took back everything that broke within a week or didn't work as described they would become overwhelmed with returned stock, no not stock tat.

Maybe for one winter, but certainly not for many... We tried a few solar lights from poundland, and they all died within weeks.
