Who cares whether it shows the metal version? It's a brilliant price with a spare £30 strap.
Was going to get the Gear S2 but I think I'll stick with this instead at the price.
Anyone who owns one, is the inbuilt GPS any good?

Support depends on the app - I was using Endomondo - and it was a dud, but I think Runkeeper and Strava work with it - but that may have changed since I last used it.
I had intended using it for runs, but that is only going to be for timed runs now - and I have none planned for a while. When I run recreationally, I usually take my phone anyway in case of emergencies.
As a watch though, it just gets better and better every update (battery life and features).

GPS is not too bad. Does take some messing with initially to get it to use its own as opposed to trying to use your phone's GPS but generally fine afterwards. I leave my phone at home and go for a run / walk with the Sony Bluetooth headphones and listen to music via Google play cached music on the watch while tracking using either endomondo or strava (and sometimes both). Endomondo seems the most reliable but even it can take a few minutes to find a satellite at times.
I purchased the white strap separately but must admit I've gone back to the black for a bit. The black does seem to be a dust magnet though so I may switch back to white!.
If you use another Bluetooth device such as a Fitbit be warned you might struggle syncing updates with your phone. I use a charge HR in addition to this and ever since the last Fitbit update it seems to hog Bluetooth to the detriment of the SW3 - easy fix....don't wear the Fitbit at the same time of course

Very good device, I have one. I don't use it every day, mainly as a silent Alarm when I need to be up early (alongside other Alarms), but it has many options of use with GPS and memory on board, etc.
A very good introduction to smartwatches, battery life is pretty good too.

Anyone looking to get this for fitness I have done a fair amount of research. Looks like it is possible to have GPS, music through Bluetooth headphones and Bluetooth heart rate monitor all working at once. Need to use certain apps (ghostracer?) Spotted it on XDA forums.
