forgive me for stating the obvious someguy003 but you wouldn't want the seat closed if you did had diarrhoea would you? if that was your attempt at humour it failed...

How do these work? Do you need wait for this seat to "soft close" before unleashing a blast of projectile diarrhea? I don't think I could wait.

No- it's no joke or failed joke. I want to know how this works. If the "seat" is slow closed I can use it. If the lid is closed then I can,t. Are you talking about the lid or the seat?? Do you know the difference?? The deal is for a soft close toilet "seat". You are clearly more educated than me. Are you a degree holder?

think the obvious point was the seat being lowered from the mans position to the ladies position, not the entire lid

It does state 'removable'. Perhaps it is quick release? If so, I'd be very interested.

Yes I agree, that is all I asked. A soft close lid is useful, but I am not so sure a soft close seat is. Unfortunately, just asking this question is deemed offensive to some types on HUKD.
