Thankyou for sharing this. My daughter got a bike for Christmas and now just needs a helmet. So this is excellent with the added bonus of skateboard and pass as well.
Merry Christmas to you.

Exactly Daddio, thats what I realised. Helmet and pads at £9 is a good buy and you get skateboard as a bonus

Please only buy this if it is for a child aged 4 or under to have a little play on. Much better spending £30 and buying a mid range branded skateboard for a child serious about learning. As an instructor I have seen parents bring terrible boards along to lessons which just don't make it possible to seriously ride a skateboard properly.

Is it that bad? Don't think my 8 year old is serious about learning but if its that bad I might just give it a miss and not bother picking it up. It is just something fo him to try to get him out and about and off the xbox. I supppose if its going to make learning difficult or a bad experience, then it would be left in the shed after the first try. What sort of price should I be looking at for a first trial board set? Is it worth it just for thr helmet and pads then?

From my experience - if you don't have a skatepark nearby and you want to get your kid on a board start with Penny or small cruiser - big wheels are easier to learn on paths. My 5 year old hated his wee skateboard but he picked up super fast on his penny
As for the deal it's worth getting it just for the extras

Got this last month for £15, pads are really cheap and are a little uncomfortable when first used but better than cut and bruised knees! Helmet is great, skateboard is a bonus, I just wanted pads and helmet so board quality wasn't an issue, but will certainly do as a starter board, for balance practice if nothing else. Hot.
