Aldi real cut Christmas tree labeled £19.99 scanning through at £12.99 its the big ones (1.5-1.8m) in the crates plu 61800. The manager in the shop said keep quiet and accept a gift from Aldi. So here I am silently typing on the biggest deal site in the UK

I'm the manager in question; so much for keeping quiet I see!. It wasn't your post on hukd that drew my attention initially to your misdemeanour it was the loud typing....what are you using there? A typewriter? :stuck_out_tongue:

Expect more price drops as the 25th gets nearer, from all stores really. Wasn't it B & Q who were selling them for 1p last xmas eve in some places?

These are officially reduced by ALDI, just lazy store staff not changing price cards!

I can confirm this. The large and small Xmas trees were reduced regionally last night so unless price cards have been put up, customers would not know as they are labelled up with the original price. Specials are not reduced for a number of weeks normally, but who's going to buy a Xmas tree in a few weeks time?

I'm a manager at Aldi, I had to do a stock count last night as they were being reduced. They will scan at this price at every Aldi store as they were reduced centrally. Unless the manager has printed a new price card and put it up no one will know they have been reduced as they are all pre tagged with the £19.99 price.
