I find is strangely funny to see 8GB of flash memory selling for just £2, when I recall paying £200 for 20MB, 5 1/4" hard drives back in the day (early 90's).
How technology changes and gets so much cheaper.

Ah. The joys of DOS and writing your own config.sys and autoexec.bat just to get started.

I used to make regular money fitting 10mb hard cards to early pc's, for an extra £15 I would install the dos for them complete with ascii menu!

I remember being on a training course, and hacking the command.com file with a bit editor. Changed the 'del' command reference to 'dir' and vice versa. Good fun watching the next person type 'dir *.*' followed by the prompt 'are you sure, Y/N'
The other thing was to change the text of 'bad command or filename' to 'spell it right you idiot', or words to that effect
