Exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks OP. Heat added.

240-256GB seems to be the sweet spot for SSDs at the moment, it's enough storage you won't feel cramped and not so much that you're paying for ultra-fast storage for stuff you don't need fast random access to (e.g. photos and videos).

I disagree. I've always been an early adopter of ultra fast HDD tech. I had 2 10k raptors in Raid 0.
I'm struggling with 250 gb and I only install OS+ a few games.
I think if you have a few games and an OS that you want to run fast, 500 GB is the 'sweet' spot.
If you are happy with just an OS and few concurrent games installed, then 250 GB is fine.
But I've typically been a 'power' user and I've maintained my 'C' drive well, and 250GB just feels like too much hassle.

ssd drives are like cans of beans
different makes are faster and slower " who cares " in the real world
just installed one of these in a desktop it runs just fine as good as my crucial m500

But the benchmarks on this crappy website show a 5mbps difference in write speed!
Agreed. It makes no difference in the real world.

Liked - I'm more concerned about brand reliability/warranty than speed on SSDs at the moment, it's a great upgrade regardless of which one you go for anyway.

I bought this drive in July and I'm more than happy with it. I can turn the computer on and load up the Internet in around 20 seconds. I could reduce this further as I have a 2-3 second option to enter the bios.
Good drive that's very fast

Would this be suitable for a Dell XPS 17 laptop, please?
