As you say, cheapest currently, but given it was this price so recently I would hold out until Boxing Day/New Year sales, purely because this doesn't have a lengthy warranty. Cheapest currently though so good spot.

I agree to be honest. Think the high street stores are just price establishing at the moment so they can 'slash' the price next week. Hopefully it might be sub £799 too at that point.

I got this for 799 from John Lewis on black Friday and I'm pretty impressed with it. it does suffer from a tiny bit of backlight bleed but it's hardly noticeable.

Finlux. I know it's Vestel but very impressed with mine after 1 month. Got a Sony htgt1 soundbar to go with it.

Is it the tv and picture you don't like or the android system?
Sony TVs I've seen always seem to have a great picture and the sets look nice themselves.

Can't fault the picture as its really good, its the android system, lack of youview recording (which was promised by the end of this year), 5 second pause when changing channels, lip sync issues...to be honest the list is endless.

4K 55 inch Sony TV i bought by the way. every one of the Sony android TV's have issues yet Sony just seem to be ignoring the problems.

My current set is a Samsung and I have to say the smart functions are great with all the catch up stuff and regular software / firmware updates, and that's on a set that's a couple of years old now, showing they still cater for older models. Undoubtedly get another Sammy next time around when I get 4K unless the LG oled panel drops dramatically in price as its stunning!

Has anyone bought from rlrdistribution before? Can they be trusted?
I believe I read something about the 55" model has a different panel to the others which isnt as good. A bit of a lottery these days with TV's.
