I ordered one from John lewis earlier in the week for delivery on Monday, I did try richer sounds but was told they don't keep them in their shops only at the warehouse I would have liked to have bought it from Richer sounds but seem to have strange ways, for example the shops don't open until 12 noon even if they do have the item in stock!
In the past 12 months I have bought three 40" TV's a Sony a Panasonic and now a Samsung and in each case I tried Richersounds but they never had any of them in stock. Had they done so the would have had orders totalling around £900 from me.

Hi there,
I was sorry to read your comments on the thread about how you've had problems getting hold of particular items.
We do work hard to ensure high availability in our stores, although from time to time certain lines can sell out. In these cases the team in store should certainly be ordering additional stock in for you, with the obvious exception being end of line clearance models. Indeed, at the time of writing, most of our stores do have this model in stock, with a further 600 available centrally in our warehouse which branches can order as required, so I am concerned to hear how you've been told otherwise.
I note that you've since bought elsewhere, however, so that I may investigate what has gone wrong here, please would you drop me a PM with some further information?
Meanwhile, my apologies again for any inconvenience and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Many Thanks

In relation to the warranty given by richer sounds. My friend had his AV receiver in with them for repair (Bristol branch) It was away for three weeks then was told it had magically just arrived in when he phoned up to find out what was going on. He went in to pick it up and it took them an age to find it then told him because it was a refurbished unit the richer sound warranty was now void. He complained and was basically told it wasn't their problem and to phone their HQ if he wanted to take it further.
I've used richer sounds many times in the past and have always been dubious of the warranty in the past and don't attach as much value to it as some may (Same for John Lewis who offer a percentage of your goods value relating to age if they can't repair it for a new one). I see it as a bonus when you can probably already get decent warranties with your bank or credit cards if you register it.

Just been on the Currys website and this TV is now priced at £299. I presume this is in preparation for the post Christmas sales when it will go down to £279. Or even £269 which I think it was priced at last month. Even so I guess it's a great price given the great reviews it has been getting.

Don't understand how they can now offer this TV as being on sale at £289 when it was £279 less than a month previously?
