At best though the stuff on Netflix is only marginally better than Blu Ray. I for one will be sticking with Plasma for the next few years until OLED prices come down at best, and at worst they actually do more with existing LCD technology with the likes of nano crystal and quantum dot etc.

3 EXTRA INCHES FOR £359, NOW THATS A GOOD DEAL, IS THIS AT HARLEY STREET ?

I've tried watching the 4K connect via the Amazon app on this TV and the picture looks no better than HD. I watched the same content on my cousin's Samsung (different model) and the difference was breathtaking! Could this be an issue with the TV itself or my current download speeds. It's BT fibre and supposed to be 70mb.

Mine is here and working well. I have no banding. Sure its edge backlit, but there is no bleed. The picture is equally comparable to my LG which cost twice as much. I have some lip sync issues on hd channels, but that appears to be a known problem supposed to be fixed by firmware 1412, so I've just set that downloading.

Picture great but the blurring in FIFA is really bad especially when the camera + ball moves, in fact its worse than my 5 year old £250 LCD TV. Turning Gaming Mode on makes no difference. Wouldn't recommend this TV for games, or this type of game. Thinking about returning it now as I bought primarily for games.

I have a Samsung engineer booked to come and repair mine now as the horizontal lines across the middle of it that appeared after about 15 mins of use haven't gone and the CoOp can't give me a date when / if they will get this model back in stock to swap it . There seems to be limited stock of this model elsewhere online except a few places that have it around £500 so even with the issues of the one I personally received I think was a great bargain as the functionality and picture is amazing.

Mine has been delivered today, will provide some feedback in the evening.

Image quality great, gaming however has noticeable input lag. (Tested COD & FIFA)

I got mine and its pretty amazing.. I sold my old 32 samsung on gumtree so literally spent £169 pounds for my upgrade and extremely happy about it.. It arrived within 1 day for me.. Easy to install. Once you configure your wifi and other settings initially you are ready to go. I streamed amazon UHD videos and it is pretty awesome.. Good playback on bluray... games are brilliant too.. Overall one really happy customer.. I was looking to buy a 48" tv.. but for my room and couch this tv is good enough... I have connect a good sub woofer and enjoying the experience... You got all smart apps via smart hub and do not need chromecast or anything... can stream automatically via my andriod phone and Windows 10 laptop.. COOOL.. Thanks for posting Buzzduraband!

How do you go about streaming video from a PC to this TV via WiFi? Is it possible?

Anyone tried gaming on this yet? Is it any good? Any ghosting/blurring on games where it's often noticeable, e.g. FIFA?

Mine arrived today but not managed to get it set up yet.

Gutted that mine has horizontal banding right cross the middle on every source and the smart hub screens but rang CoOp ebay number and they are going to do a swap over when these are apparently back in stock next Friday (18th) so can't complain about their service just been unlucky it seems.

No they have not, 4K Upscaling Blu Ray Players have been around for some time, big difference between that and a UHD Blu Ray Player that will play the new crop of discs dual layer ones are 66gb and triple layer will be 100gb.

It's a funny world we live in when you can buy a 40 inch 4K smart TV for less then an Apple Watch

Bought that bush 50w soundbar for £23 odd so paired with this will be a good setup for some 4K streaming!

For £100 more, you can get the Hisense 50-Inch 4K on amazon. Much better, much bigger tv. Although £100 is a big jump

Only 40" for a 4k seems ridiculous. 48" should be the minimum for a 4k TV buy

Ermmmm, 4k bluray players have been available for some time

Brought one from them black Friday, excellent TV and if u get the right settings the pictures are superb. Well worth the money but get a soundbar if your just using TV for sound.

True, but still not enough to warrant anywhere near a representation of what 4K should be at current bandwidths, even the higher bandwidth BT Sport Ultra HD requiring a stream of around 27mbps is not decent broadcast quality at a lousy 50fps for sport.

In fact other than downloads and physical media I doubt anyone will be seeing. Only way anyone will be seeing tech demos for their 4K tvs is with UHD Blu Ray media....physical media so many people scoff at these days, the irony.

Don't forget that Richer Sounds will price match, if the warranty is similar to theirs (6yr). Coop had a freebie going the other week for a 5yr which made their price price-matchable, so keep an eye out.

i can see his point though, this guy is giving bad advice on the services available. i have watched quite a lot of 4k stuff on netflix, which looks excellent. the stuff on prime looks even better in my opinion. there are also some very good nature videos on youtube which basically are just there to show off what 4k can do. i'm having bt installed in a couple of weeks for the 4k sports, so can't comment on that yet. but if you can afford the upgrade, i'd definitely say go for it, although i would add that you'll see more benefit at 55inch plus

Utter rubbish! 4k bitrate is nearly 8x the HD one on Netflix, massive difference between the 2 and a clear improvement on physical BluRay too.

​I certainly wouldn't recommend a 4k TV for streaming Netflix and YouTube videos lol. The low bit rate on both (especially youtube) make it almost pointless. I don't see 4k tvs useful for anything other than 4k gaming at the moment. Once sky start broadcasting some good 4k content and 4k blu ray players hit the shelf, then it's worth upgrading your TV.

If you just want to use the TV for watching broadcast TV then no point going past 1080p. If you are using the TV with a PC or have a netflix account, youtube etc that will stream 4k media then go for the 4k unit.
