Have the whatsapp and youtube apps improved much over the last 6 months or so ?
They were both really crap the last time i tried windows on my lumia 920

there is huge improvement on WhatsApp, load of update since then, but for you tube can't really comment because is no one's fault except GOOGLE for their licensing and etc. there is a lot of good 3rd party app but is not what it is on original YOUTUBE app on android.

metrotube is a good way to go :smiley: ,costs
but no ads on videos and you can pre load them too!! :smiley:

no, o2 phones are generally locked to their network.
you should be able to use tesco, giffgaff, etc, who use the o2 network.

Ask a friend with an O2 contract account to unlock it for you for free.
