Mines just arrived, may be polyester but it's lovely, soft and silky. She's going to love it!!

I always find Argos stuff small so ordered 7-8 for my 5 year old. She is tall and not chubby but well built, I should probably have bought the next size up so it lasts for ages but she should get a good year out of it. Length is fine its more the width around the chest area.

I can confirm that size 7-8 is too small for my 6 year old... too tight under the arms. Returning it for a size 9-10
