Doesn't get the best review ,considered as slow for a modern drive

SanDisk SSD Plus SATA 3 - 240GB £39.99 @ Amazon

They have recovered massively from their previous history of the SSDs failing after a short period of time. KitGuru did a lengthy review and basically hammered 5 of them on read/write to the point of failure and they lasted a very long time. Cold even at this price when you can get the SanDisk listed above for the same price!

I was tempted at the price to get this for my brother but:

128K sequential writes considerably slower than the Sandisk Ultra II (although sequential reads are fine) http://www.anandtech.com/show/9408/ocz-trion-100-240gb-480gb-960gb-review/7

Mixed 4K and 128K Random read/write the lowest of the tested drivers (although the Sandisk Ultra II wasn't much better) http://www.anandtech.com/show/9408/ocz-trion-100-240gb-480gb-960gb-review/7

So I think the Crucial BX100 would be a much better option than the OCZ Trion or the Sandisk Ultra II. Unfortunately there don't seem to be any good Black Friday deals on the decent drives. Maybe we'll see something on Cyber Monday.
