Faster than the GTX 960 and has 1GB more memory, though does use more power.

Delivery is only free for forum members with a certain number of posts.

Lot of card for a relatively little money - especially if you qualify for free delivery. It is going to be a hot and noisy way to get a thank you card from your electricity supplier though.......

Around 250W. For comparison, an R9 280 is 225W. It will keep you warm in winter :smirk:

I'm considering this as an upgrade for my 7870. I only game at 1080p so will the 3gb be enough? Or hang on for a 290/390 deal? Decisions decisions.

I'm in the same boat, I'm going to hold out for a 390/970...

decent price for a decent card
decent price for a decent card, my system running i5-2500K (4.8GHz) and GTX 770 4GB cuts through all titles 1080p with max eye candy so you should have no problem with this 780 (I don't know what the rest of your system is like tho), I would also expect the 3GB to be fine @ 1080p (but have a check of some recent AAA title reviews/benchmarks to see how much memory they are using).
380X with 4GB look like they're in the same price bracket (£140 to £200)

Consoles have near 4GB at their disposal and seeing as most PC games are ports from consoles with enhancements - anything less than 4GB is not enough any more. IMO

i'd say go 380x or 390

plenty unless you intend to use dsr or use ultrahigh texture packs like in shadow of mordor

That actually isn't as bad as I thought. Obviously the furmark result is pretty bad, but furmark is designed to stress test the crap out of a card and push it to its limits. The Crysis result is a much better judge of real world performance.
Opening post
Not a new card but quite good value.
