Really good deal for the item.
Does anybody know how does this compare to an entry-level 5.1 system like the Pioneer HTP-072 that Richer Sounds have on offer?

Well a big difference is the complete lack of HDMI inputs on this compared to a cheap AV receiver. I have a previous model (which has exactly the same inputs) that I use for a PC using the optical input. It's great for that, but when I first got it I used it as a home cinema system and frankly it wasn't up to the job. The inputs are very outdated.

To qualify for the discounted price of £143 you must have posted, on HUKD, at least 1 deal per 9 years. Sorry

Got the 2.1 version (z623) for £130 last year. Worth every penny. This is such a bargain.
You will have a cinema sound quality in your living room/ bedroom with this.

I have these and I really don't rate the satellite speakers on them, very harsh with high treble and little to no mids. Switched them all out for my old Creative Gigaworks S750 speakers, which to be fair I'd still be using now if the sub/amp hadn't died.
